Hey all! I have had this account created for a number of months, and now finally getting around to reading and posting in the forums! I currently play ESO, when I am not with my family. I have a 1 year old son who I give most of my free time too! I am really looking forward to this game. I started my MMO life in Ultima Online, and have been seeking for a replacement ever since those days of Felucca. I hope to grow some friendships here, and continue those in game! … [Read more...] about Hello! Finally getting around to posting!
It’s been a year now since Phoenix Labs’s Monster-Hunter-inspired MMO Dauntless first commenced its closed beta testing. Now, as the game chugs along through its open beta testing, the devs have released an infographic made using data compiled during Dauntless’s first year to commemorate the anniversary. The numbers are interesting and fairly impressive: Over two million players have slain 14,365,766 of the game’s menacing behemoths, crafted 11,967,137 weapons, chugged 124,963,490 potions, dodged 2,700,000,000 times, and collectively amassed 11,983,457 hours of gametime. The infographic also gives a special shout-out to slayer Billyhoyle, whose 100% success rate throughout more than 251 hunts has earned him the title of Slayer MVP. In other news, Dauntless also recently released its latest patch, OB 0.5.5, which signals the arrival of The Middleman in Ramsgate, refines the game’s matchmaking system, and makes a plethora of quality-of-life updates. The … [Read more...] about Dauntless celebrates first birthday with The Middleman and matchmaking update
Last night’s bombshell that Bless Online is closing down its final Korean servers, leaving the game’s Steam version in the west as the only one still running, surely has the community wondering about Neowiz’s intentions here. We recently spoke to the studio on multiple subjects revolving around Bless: on the curse of early access expectations, localization, the game’s age, retention, launch, pay-to-win perceptions, comparisons to Final Fantasy XIV, and where the money for Bless Unleashed came from (spoiler: It’s not from Bless Online). We’ve got that interview for you today. Do note that while technically this interview was conducted before the formal announcement that Bless Korea was closing, Neowiz does make a brief mention about that at the end in noting that the western Steam version is now the “main and sole version of Bless Online across the globe.” MassivelyOP: It seems like Bless has just been blasted with bad reviews and bad … [Read more...] about Interview: Bless Online on early access, pay-to-win, and its western refuge on Steam
With WildStar on the way out, I wanted to say farewell in fashion. And if that mean putting myself through the torture of reinstalling the game and logging in, then so be it. There are screenshots to be taken and accomplishments to be preserved! For this first excursion, I wanted to take pictures of my characters. In the end, I had two primary characters at level 50, both named Syppi: a Medic and an Engineer. But I also wanted to touch base with my lowbie Aurin, Jem Hologram: She… she does not look happy about being consigned to the eternal void of doom. Poor girl. You deserved some actual play time from me. At least she’ll be able to take her faithful party Rowsdower with her when it all goes down. Nice color matching, too! Next up: Checking out all of my outfits for my Medic. The purple/aurora snow hat look was most definitely my favorite of the six, although that cowgirl one looks pretty tough… My Medic’s housing plot. I didn’t do much with this after … [Read more...] about The WildStar farewell tour, part 1
