Welcome to the world of Wizard101, where you play as a young witch or wizard in the world of Spiral. Developed and published by KingsIsle Entertainment in 2008, Wizard101 is a free to play MMO with magic themes that would feel like it belongs in Harry Potter, which makes it even better. So what makes this game worth playing? Engaging Gameplay For All Ages The game’s main story quest is a fun journey that borrows a few ideas from the adventures of Harry Potter. For starters, your school has a headmaster that sends you away on these quests to stop Malistaire, the main bad guy who is using magic for no good. Throughout the story, players must take on a series of quests throughout the different worlds. Expect the usual fetch and kill quests, but the story more than makes up for it with its funny writing and engaging story. The plot is delivered through text dialogue that is well-written. Quests also comes fully voiced with the actors doing a good job of bringing the voice acting to … [Read more...] about Is Wizard101 Worth Playing In 2018 – Wizard101 Review
One of the reasons me and my wife kickstartered this game was because of how you are trying to cater to different groups of players. PVE'ers, PVP'ers etc. The idea of having different rule sets for each planet was a very unique concept and I think it is one of the best ideas I have ever seen. In other games, i've always had to choose between the PVE server (which my wife prefers) and the PVP server, which I usually prefer. My question is, do you have any thoughts about adding new races and/or planets in the future, through expansions or whatnot and will there be new planets with the same rule sets or different rule sets? … [Read more...] about Future Plans for new races and/or planets?
Wow, just like that another ~3 months have passed and I haven’t blogged. I’m a slacker! The most exciting thing I’ve done recently is… travel to Iceland for week, to meet up with friends who were taking a vacation there. Due to various scheduling issues, I had a free day in Reykjavik after arriving and before hopping on a bus to cross the island and meet them. I did a walking tour of Reykjavik, which looks a lot like the two Ingress mosaics I did. 🙂 I also caught every Mr. Mime and Volbeat I saw (two of the European regional pokemon). More on that later. And… I wandered by the HQ of CCP. Unfortunately I was there on a Saturday and they were closed. Otherwise I would have visited the lobby! I also found the EVE Online Monument, and found my character name! I looked that up in advance of course, the print is tiny. Still, it was very cool to find my character name and of course visit Iceland which is BEAUTIFUL in basically every direction you look. … [Read more...] about Where Does the Time Go?
Whoops! Blizzard was hoping to WoW the world tomorrow with the announcement that Diablo III would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, a reveal that may go down as one of 2018’s worst kept secrets thanks to a long series of rumors and possible teasers that the game would indeed be coming to the platform. Unfortunately Forbes blew the news a bit too quickly, with coverage of the embargoed news briefly going online before quickly being pulled off. As they say, the internet never forgets, and intrepid young sleuths were able to get their hands on the announcement and its details. It looks like the game will be sold as the Eternal Collection, including Reaper of Souls and the Rise of the Necromancer expansion, and will also include a number of Nintendo exclusive cosmetics. Cosmetics include the Ganondorf cosmetic armor set (naturally), tri-force portrait frame, and chicken pet and Echoes of the Mask wings. Diablo III on Switch will also allow up to 4 players on a single system, four … [Read more...] about Forbes Accidentally Leaks Diablo III On Switch
