In the same order depicted in the title: Still a bit sad that as an Immortal pledge I can't access the bug reports for Alpha 1 section. I just don't want to be spamming this section.. Or is that actually part of the requirements/how it's intended to be? I'd love to report every little thing I see but I don't think this section is the place. Very happy to see the client told me my client version was too old and "please download etc..". That's just great cause it's so easy to miss this.. With MMO's nobody should be running a client which is not the latest (happens way too often in the world of software causing misshaps). … [Read more...] about Bug Reports + Noticed a great feature
Fallout 76 patch that rolled out yesterday? The one that was “chock-full of bug fixes”? Turns out that while the patch did fix some bugs, it also brought back old ones, bugs that Bethesda Softworks supposedly already fixed. These include heavy bobby pins, loading bugs, and the infamous duping glitch, all of which have already been fixed in a previous patch. According to VG247, the Fallout sub-reddit is brimming with bug reports and the Fallout community is none too happy. Bethesda Associate Community Manager LadyDevann was quick to assure the community that the devs are working on the problem. “We’re digging into this to understand the scope of the issue. If you or anyone else have more information you can provide, we will be actively looking at comments related to this,” she said. LadyDevann’s statement did little to diffuse the situation, however, and the Fallout 76 sub-reddit is still on fire. There’s even calls for a change in the dev … [Read more...] about Yesterday’s Fallout 76 Patch Resurrected Previously Fixed Bugs
Hi guys. As some of you surely have noticed, we had some drama going on this morning on our forums. If you want to spare yourself of the suffering of having to read those 3 pages, I can tell you that, in brief, some user accused someone else of having created several multi accounts to "cheat" The Foundation. I was entangled in a very long planning meeting for Alpha 1, hence I couldn't intervene immediately. Now, instead of preparing the next Kickstarter update, I'm forced to write down this thread. It means that instead of spending my time making the nice 99% of the community happy, I have to waste it calming down the kindergarten-minded 1%. And I'm not happy about it. So, let's tackle the issue step by step. Reporting If you want to report someone for any kind of rule-breaking behavior, you shall do so privately to a member of the staff. It can be via forum pm, Discord, email, whatever. But private. Opening a thread of the forums, destined to descend into a flame war, serves no … [Read more...] about Two Words On Reporting, Leaderboards & Pre-Alpha. I’m tired.
A nasty bug on EverQuest’s progression servers has kept players from completing an expansion boss for over a year now, with bug reports and complaints to Daybreak resulting in no action taken whatsoever. Whenever players engage the Rathe Council, a fight made up of 12 enemies, the mobs frequently despawn and respawn before the fight can be completed. Even worse, according to a tipster’s report, is that guilds and individuals can intentionally trigger the despawning to keep others from finishing the fight. This has kept guilds and players from progressing through the Planes of Power expansion if the fight is encountered in its open world version. One frustrated player summed up the experience thusly: “It really sucks to call a raid, COTH or clear all the way to Rathe, spend hours setting up , getting to the big moment having all 12 mobs perfectly under control, make the call to start killing, then the event bugs out on you. Then you call for a reset, it’s … [Read more...] about EverQuest boss bug bottlenecks progression servers
