I hesitate to call this a “review” because it’s more of a “this is what this game is about” sort of thing. Overall, I find it enjoyable, though not incredibly deep, and will probably keep playing it casually. If nothing else, it’s been giving me a reason to pick up my Switch and enjoy it in hand-held mode, which isn’t something I’ve done much in the past. What is it? Pokemon Quest is a cute mobile game that was released on the Switch earlier this week, and will be coming to mobile devices soon. It’s called a “free to start” game, which means you don’t have to pay anything to play it as is, but you can expect there to be mobile aspects, like timers that limit what you do. So far, the timers don’t bother me much. I’ve gotten used to these sorts of things with mobile games, I suppose. I rarely spend money on mobile games, and Pokemon Quest is not going to be any different. I haven’t seen any real … [Read more...] about Pokemon Quest – Quick Review
I’m back with goal setting for another month. The weather is starting to heat up here, and all folks want to do is stay cool or stay hidden. I prefer both. Anyhow, I learned last month that even though I have a bunch of job quests I want to get done, it’s not viable to drop them all in a huge list as goals and not be intimidated by it. So, this month, I’m going to pick and choose to hopefully focus and get more things done. FFXIV Leveling Goals Level Leatherworker to 70 ✓ Level White Mage to 70 ✓ I’m going to continue where I left off on both of these jobs. They’re both at level 66 as of right now. Leatherworker is going to happen no matter what. I’ve been doing the new Namazu beast tribe quests every day and my crafting leveling speed is through the roof. The White Mage is a little more iffy, but very do-able, since I have to dredge up motivation to do Alliance Roulettes. I’ve also been slacking off on the battle … [Read more...] about June 2018 Gaming Goals
I guess I should be paying more attention to the Pokemon Go news. It says right in the newsfeed that you get a chance to catch Zapdos for finishing up field research quests. Somehow, it still took me by surprise when it appeared. Not a bad surprise, but it did take just about every Ultra Ball I owned to finally catch it! I’m not a raider at all, so I’ve not really had a chance to catch cool Pokemon like this. It was a really awesome way to start the week in Pokemon Go. 🙂 Advertisements … [Read more...] about Pokemon Go: First Legendary!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve written about Pokemon Go. I’ve been a little out of touch with the game for a while, but I’ve kept it on my phone, and I check the news from time to time. I keep thinking I should get back into it since it’s added things that sound fun — like quests, weather and things. And lots of Pokemon I haven’t caught yet. I wasn’t that into the whole raid thing, but I’ve heard good things about all the newer changes. I guess this is a sign. We went out to the local Mellow Mushroom for my birthday lunch today. The fountain there is one of my most visited Pokestops. I just haven’t been in a long while. In fact, I’m so low on Pokeballs that it’s one reason why I haven’t played much. So, as we were eating, I was spinning the stops and catching whatever random Pokemon popped up. I’m not very familiar with the 3rd gen Pokemon, and I wasn’t paying much attention to what I was … [Read more...] about Pokemon Go: First Shiny!
Pictured above: Someone’s awesome dragon avatar flying above Erstwhile at the Second Life Fantasy Faire. My weekend was made up of a combination of mutliplayer Stardew Valley with my sister and time spent at events in Second Life. We attended Relay Stock and said farewell to the Fantasy Faire with a final round of exploration. I also spent time working on new content for my Water Horse shop. And that’s where this story comes from. I still feel a little bad about not having “exciting” new content to post here like I have in the past. There just isn’t much to write about when it comes to multiplayer Stardew (aside from the fact it continues to be fun) and making horse content in SL. So I’ve decided that whenever something funny that warrants a story happens in SL, I’ll work on writing it up here. Kinda like Tales from the Duty Finder… just SL instead. So, here’s my first SL Story. Being the Dragon One amazing aspect of Second … [Read more...] about SL Stories: Close Encounters of the Dragon Kind
