Though beautiful in its own way, the Warbringers Sylvanas story/cutscene missed the mark for me in presentation when compared to Blizzard's cinematic capabilities. Blizzard released a new cinematic yesterday called "Old Soldier" which portrays the inner struggle of Saurfang as he grapples with his past, what has become of the Horde, and the future. This cinematic proves to me that there's a story building in Battle for Azeroth that will have significant impact on the Horde. This cinematic alone is a story. Sylvanas's cutscene wasn't meant to inspire loyalty in her as the new Warchief -- or as a warchief/leader at all. It was meant to make us feel exactly how we did... empty, confused, disappointed, wanting more. Old Soldier shows us there is still strength and honor, and that the heart of the Horde rests in its people, not necessarily its current leaders. I can't wait to watch the story unfold. Three cheers for Zappyboi and Saurfang! … [Read more...] about WoW’s Old Soldier Cinematic Shows the Heart of the Horde
With World of Warcraft players deeply divided on the build-up to Battle for Azeroth — especially in light of a recent war crime committed by a certain war chief — players were left wondering how the rest of the Horde was dealing with Sylvanas’ over-the-top actions. Part of that answer was delivered today with a new gorgeous CGI cinematic titled “Old Soldier.” Taking place in the hours before the Siege of Lordaeron that was seen in the Battle for Azeroth trailer, this cinematic focuses on Saurfang’s distress over the lack of honor in the Horde to the point where he feels like quitting entirely. “They will come for us now,” Saurfang bellows. “ALL OF THEM.” It also stars the surprise cult star of the expansion, a Troll Shaman that fans have labeled “Zappy Boi.” Our favorite comment? “He is no longer Zappy Boi. He is now Zappy Man.” Blizzard’s on fire with the reveals and info this week, so make sure … [Read more...] about World of Warcraft’s newest cinematic shows a Horde deeply divided
If you thought the World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor marketing campaign that featured a gigantic axe seemingly plunged into the roadways in Time Square was unique and different, think again. Last night, Blizzard hosted a Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide wrestling match to promote Battle for Azeroth that featured Psycho Clown and Electro Shock, each appropriately decked out in factional colors. The official advertising from Media Tiempo reads: This event will have a very special flavor, since it will be a direct confrontation between AAA and Lucha Libre Elite , who will be representing the two factions of the videogame. Under the red banner, AAA superstars like Psycho Clown, Son of the Phantom, Faby Apache and Dr. Wagner Jr. will defend the honor of the AAA and the Horde ; while, under the blue banner, LA Park, Electro Shock and Zeuxis, Golden Magic, the Traumas and several more will fight for the glory of Lucha Libre Elite and the Alliance. If you love wrestling, Lucha Libre or World … [Read more...] about Lucha LIbre Battle Pits Alliance vs Horde in Innovative Battle for Azeroth Campaign
runescape gold The finale of the Dimension of the Damned event took place on Saturday as 1,000 of the highest scoring players tried to be the last RuneScape avatar standing against the zombie horde. A competitive mode for RuneScape, the Dimension of the Damned sees competitors start inside the city of Falador, which provides safe haven for them to purchase supplies. In the finale, each player starts with mithril tools, 5,000 bottle corks, and stell armour, and are sent out to hold against the horde. While the mode is PvM, or Player vs. Monster, players are still competing for a high score and for one of the pieces of equipment that drop from supply crates. The last hero standing gets 200 million Runescape gold, a lifetime RuneScape membership, a unique title, and a real-life zombie award. Not bad! Unfortunately, the competition is now over, but you can watch all the drama unfold through the RuneScape channel’s Twitch archives. … [Read more...] about RuneScape Players Tried To Outlast Each Other Against A Zombie Horde buy rsgp
Note: This post was originally made on my Tumblr, but I figured I’d share it here as well. I’ve seen this question bounce around a few times since the announcement of Battle For Azeroth. So I figured I’d do my share of clearing up a misconception. The Horde and Alliance didn’t team up to fight the Burning Legion. They tried. Namely the Assault on the Broken Shore. It ended with the Horde retreating after their Warchief was fatally injured and the Alliance losing another King of Stormwind. After that, the joint efforts collapsed since the Alliance blamed the Horde for the death of Varian, and the Horde has pretty much run out of fucks to give about reaching out to an Alliance that constantly blames them for crap going wrong. Without the Horde and Alliance willing to work together to fight the Burning Legion, the duty fell instead to the Class Orders to rally their ranks and push back the Legion. Hence why the Armies of Legionfall banner … [Read more...] about Why ARE the Horde & Alliance Fighting After Teaming Up to Fight the Legion?
