I'm GM of an active guild in another MMORPG. The group is casual and has many people who don't have tons of time to play, so the gameplay of Fractured seems like a good fit. Eyeing the eventual death of that game/ceasing of the existing guild, does anyone have experience selling a game transition to a large group successfully? … [Read more...] about Suggestions for porting a guild from another game?

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but in reading up on Fractured, I've noticed the following: Attributes are absolutely critical to good builds; Attributes cannot be reset (though I see something about possibly a few free respecs). In my RPG experience, I never get the attributes right for my playstyle the first time. For playing alpha/beta where the worlds will be zeroed anyhow, not a big deal, but if I were coming into a released game, I'd be worried about burning out after realizing my stat selections sucked. … [Read more...] about Importance of attributes triggering repetition?
First things first, is there any progress? If so, do we get that with infinite progression so then our character can be stronger and stronger or we get the same progress like it's in every new MMO called "Wall Progression" where we get to "max level" or "max equipment" or any other maximum power for our character and after that we are logining... dunno for what, just for fighting each other or to get some resources, in long term it's pointless. Examples, the games that are with Wall Progress: Games with infinite progress: I hope that you get the point … [Read more...] about Infinite progression or hit the wall progression?
The game successfully broke its goal of 100k Euro this past July and earned an additional 10% on top of that, while this is an excellent start, the number of un-reached stretch goals as well as my familiarity with similar projects. For example, Albion raised nearly $10,000,000 as a game with a similar mission, similar estimated testing phase, and using the same engine(Unity.) Albion, of course, was developing for multiple platforms and went through many extreme design iterations which certainly could have "wasted their money." Even if Fractured is set to be created on a much smaller scale, I feel €110,000 is certainly a very conservative estimate of not just the funds it will take to complete the game as it is envisioned right now, but also accommodate for additional unexpected expenses likely to come from the development of such a game. For example, if you were to put one of your fundamental ideas into practice and find that it didn't work well with real players or something … [Read more...] about Is Dynamight Studios Actively Seeking a Publisher/ Are Plans in Place to Earn Development Funds Post-Kickstarter?
One of the reasons me and my wife kickstartered this game was because of how you are trying to cater to different groups of players. PVE'ers, PVP'ers etc. The idea of having different rule sets for each planet was a very unique concept and I think it is one of the best ideas I have ever seen. In other games, i've always had to choose between the PVE server (which my wife prefers) and the PVP server, which I usually prefer. My question is, do you have any thoughts about adding new races and/or planets in the future, through expansions or whatnot and will there be new planets with the same rule sets or different rule sets? … [Read more...] about Future Plans for new races and/or planets?
