I didn’t discover my passion for writing until the past few years, although I was always an avid readers as a kid and wanted people to read my works. The past three years have been almost like a blessing and I finally found my interest in writing and moreover an outlet to express them. Nothing hurts more bad for a writer than having your works not being read widely. After having written over hundreds of articles for the past few years, I was given a chance to join the ShoutMeLoud community by the humble Harsh Agarwal and I didn’t have second thoughts about trying my luck here, and I have been accepted with some aplomb by the wonderful community here. After having been written over a million words, including 60 articles for ShoutMeLoud, hundreds of articles on my personal blog and thousands of words for the first draft of my novel, my experience of working with Harsh and writing for the ShoutMeLoud community was a memorable one. During this journey, I have … [Read more...] about 7 Invaluable Blog Writing Tips I Learned After Writing for ShoutMeLoud
I love sharing my joys and achievements with the ShoutMeLoud audience (otherwise known as “Shouters”), and today I am very excited to tell you about a special honor for ShoutMeLoud. ShoutMeLoud has a mention in The Week magazine! Last month I received a call from a journalist who writes for The Week, and we talked a bit about blogging, entrepreneurship and the life of an internet celebrity. We chatted for an hour on various aspects of blogging, and the journalist wanted to understand, in particular, how blogs make money. Here is the mention of ShoutMeLoud in the article entitled “Khans, Virtually” by Shweta Thakur Nanda, as published in the May 5th, 2013 edition of The Week: Apart from fame and financial gains, being a cyber celeb means self-employment, flexible work hours and pursuing your hobby as career. “What else can one ask for?” asks Agrawal. “It is, however, very … [Read more...] about ShoutMeLoud in National Magazine “The Week” & My First Presentation on Blogging
Hey Shouters, I’m so happy today to write this official announcement post for the launch of official ShoutMeLoud Android app. At the starting of this year (2015), my aim was to target mobile users as the number of smartphone users are rising every day and finally ShoutMeLoud Android app is live on Google play store. I was looking for some free options to develop out Android app initially but realised it’s not the right way to go because ShoutMeLoud is not just a blog but a brand itself. Moreover, I have received several requests from Android and iOS users to have a dedicated app for ShoutMeLoud blog. ( iOS users you need to wait for just a little time). I would like to thank Aneesh Bhatnagar who created the first version of ShoutMeLoud as a gift for all of us. The first version was released with a basic UI and functionality and later on we revamped the complete UI and functionality of the app. The new app UI is built from scratch to give you a great … [Read more...] about Learn Blogging on Your Android SmartPhone With ShoutMeLoud App

Today is a special day. It’s the 8th anniversary of ShoutMeLoud. And all of this started with a conversation between two friends… Me (Harsh): Hey Dude, can I borrow your credit card!? Ankit: Why? Me: I want to buy hosting & a domain name for my blog. Ankit: You are mad! Are you sure about it? Me: Yes, I’m sure. And he gave me his credit card. It was on 30th November 2008 when I made my first ever online purchase (technically someone else made the purchase because it was his credit card). This purchase was for a domain name and hosting. It seems like yesterday since I launched ShoutMeLoud. It’s something which started from a one room flat and has become a global enterprise. It’s inspired, guided, and touched the lives of many people around the globe. Today, on 1st December, ShoutMeLoud turns eight years old, and it’s been an epic journey thus far. Something that I started out of passion has turned into an identity of itself. Here are some … [Read more...] about ShoutMeLoud is 8 Years Old!
