Home » Blogging » Website Traffic Statistics Report: Bloggers Passion Traffic Increased by 180 Percent in July 2011 I’m starting a monthly website traffic report series here at Bloggers Passion. In this series, I will be sharing monthly traffic statistics for Bloggers Passion using metrics available from Google Analytics. I will be comparing the website traffic numbers for current month with the previous month and share the results for the same to my readers here on Bloggers Passion. If I compare July 2011 traffic statistics with June traffic numbers, I noticed a big jump in traffic on Bloggers Passion in the month of July 2011. I noticed a jump of 180% (179.16% exact) in the overall traffic on this blog in July. Visitors increased from 667 to 1862 in the month of July. On the prowl for an undiscovered indie MMORPG these days? You might want to check out Gran Skrea Online, as it just went into early access this past weekend. According to the team, Gran Skrea “combines a desire for new player-defined MMORPG mechanics with influences from classic RPGs like RuneScape, Ultima Online, and The Elder Scrolls.” It’s $9 right now through June 23rd, which isn’t the most exorbitant price we’ve ever seen, and there’s an official Discord set up already. The sandbox MMORPG sends players “to create their own destiny in an original world of medieval fantasy.” This apparently means a mixture of quests, “ruthless” PvP combat, guilds, and economy. There are already quite a few features in place, including player housing, a criminal flagging system, lots of crafting, and a game world with plenty of lore. There’s more to be added in the early access program, so features such as territorial warfare, auction … [Read more...] about Gran Skrea brings an indie sandbox MMO to early access
Ever since launching on Steam early access back in June, the indie fantasy sandbox Gran Skrea Online has been doing its best to attract and keep players through a series of updates. These patches, the most recent of which was on July 28th, added a six-hour PvP protection window, housing object permanence, an auction house cap, a limit to jail fines, an AFK mode, home teleports, more combat abilities, primary and secondary weapon options, and a guild collector’s tab. YouTuber LazyPeon recently spent some time checking out this buy-to-play MMO and found that despite wonky combat and crude graphics, there’s something of a compelling game in the making here. Give it a look below! Source: SteamSHARE THIS ARTICLE … [Read more...] about Gran Skrea might be the indie MMO gem you’ve been seeking
Welcome to today’s Bookahneer’s Geekwatch! The place about LotRO, Guild Wars 2 and any other interesting news related to gaming. E3 has brought us quite a lot of fascinating news, so here we go: Trailer/Teaser videos: Warhammer 40k: Dark Millenium Online published a trailer which allows a tiny little glimpse into the game. Neverwinter developed by Cryptic also shows off a trailer:Trion Worlds, developer of Rift, is working on Defiance, an open-world shooter MMO. You can find a trailer on their website. It doesn’t show that much yet but I really love the flowers in the beginning. ;) Last but not least: Sims Social – yes, the Sims as a Facebook game. Talking in cliches: Maybe now all those old, male MMO gamers that are still living in their mothers’ basements can actually get a date? *cough* Yes, this looks exactly like the kind of game we were missing.Lord of the Rings Online: Rise of Isengard‘s release date was announced (September 27, 2011) plus you … [Read more...] about Bookahneer’s Geekwatch (June 8, 2011)!
This weekend, we had the roleplay convention in Cologne. Bookahnerk and I went there. Originally, to hear Martin Kerstein (German community manager of ArenaNet) talk about Guild Wars 2 – but we didn’t actually stay that long, so we missed it. There were no demo stations and he apparently mainly talked about things we already know about the game, so we probably didn’t miss much. And by the time he held his 30 minute presentation, I was already so tired and my leg hurt, so we left. Anyway. This convention is about all things roleplaying. This includes LARP (live action roleplay), board games, pen & paper roleplay, PC games etc. Lots of people were in costumes which was great to look at. I especially squealed at the few women not dressed as elves but as trolls or goblins instead. Rather annoying was the fact that we’d only been there for a few minutes and had already collected what felt like a ton of flyers. That actually looks like less that we’ve … [Read more...] about RPC Köln 2011
