August is always a complex month for us, torn between the preparation for Gamescom and the due summer holiday time. Nonetheless, a new update is here, including the much awaited roadmap to Alpha 2 – which is sadly going to suffer a little delay. Read on for all the news! Gamescom Yes: for the first time ever, Dynamight Studios will have its own booth at Gamescom! The booth is located in the business area, within the Italian Games stand (Hall 3.2, Stand D010 E019). Industry and fluffy clouds are all the rage in Dual Universe, as the upcoming sci-fi sandbox kicked off its Alpha 2 test today. Test pilots should also experience a significant change to how their ships handle in space with the advent of true weightlessness. “We were quite happy with how ships translated differently in atmosphere and space, but we hoped to add an improved sensation of weightlessness,” the studio said. “And now it’s done! Now when trying to manoeuver a ship while in the atmosphere, you should experience the true dragless feeling of space and the effects of air upon a ship’s hull.” Even better, the team added the ability for players to leave their ships and use a jetpack to do some fancy zero-g gliding in the void of space. Fractured, an upcoming MMO released a few bits of big news recently – the first is the status of Alpha 1 Test 2. This is going to be coming sooner than you’d think – the month is July! Beginning on July 10th, 2019, Alpha 1 Test 2 will begin, at 10 AM EDT. The focus of Test 2 is to add new content, which will consist of new creatures, spells and crafting/housing/equipment options. Further information on this update can be found at this link. Fractured also announced that their Kickstarter replica packs are being phased out, and there is a sale on these (which can be found here ). The cost of access/pledging will remain the same, but there will be 3 new basic packs being released that will grant access to Beta 2, Beta 1 and Alpha 2 respectively. In order, these will cost €25 for Beta 2, €50 for Beta 1, €90 for Alpha 2. Dear Fractured followers, we’re a little late, but we’ve made it: Alpha 1 – Test 2 is almost ready to ship! It’s therefore our pleasure to officially announce the start day of the second (and last) testing Phase of Alpha 1. It’s Wednesday, July 10, at 4pm CEST (10am EDT)! While the scope of Test 1 in April was to get your feedback on basic game mechanics and assess server stability, work for Test 2 was largely focused on adding new content to the game. As described in the roadmap, content added consists of new creatures, spells, and crafting / housing / equipment options. According to community feedback, Fractured was deemed to be already (relatively) polished in Test 1. Nonetheless, we’ve managed to get rid of over 30 bugs in the last couple months.
