Is ArcheAge the right MMORPG for you? Here’s our review. Introduction At its onset, ArcheAge feels much like any other themepark MMO. Choose one of the game’s six races, split between two factions, select one of ten skillsets, such as Battlerage or Occultism, and then get leveling. The first thing that you’ll likely realize is just how good ArcheAge looks, even for a game going on four-years-old. The CryEngine is put to work here, and the result is quite fantastic, assuming you possess a computer powerful enough to run it. The Basics After a bit of leveling, you’ll be able to unlock a second skillset, and then a third, and then you’ll have created a class. ArcheAge features 120 different classes, each one a combination of three of the ten different skillsets. There’s a lot of potential here to mix, match, and conjure up some unexpected synergies, like a warrior who crafts songs and loves the occult. But no matter what class … [Read more...] about ArcheAge 2018 Review: Is ArcheAge Worth Playing?

Pele is another solid choice for a starter god of a pantheon, but I do wish she would have been a Guardian instead of an Assassin. From my testing and play, she’s not the type of assassin you can really build tanky, but I don’t really crunch the numbers in any meaningful way (because numbers are hard). It just doesn’t seem like tank items synergize with her at all, more than having one or two just to add defenses. Pele had a lot riding on her though, not only as the first Polynesian representative. Let’s be honest: Baron Samedi came out of the gate furiously powerful, and probably still is dominating. I want to say right from the outset something that many readers already know: I don’t play many Assassins. However, Pele might be the one for me. She’s not insanely OP (I don’t think, anyway), but she’s very high-risk, high-reward. Much to many of my team’s chagrin, that’s my kind of playstyle. She’s very strong in the … [Read more...] about SMITE God Review – Pele: Amplifiers and Melted Wires
Can’t take the sky from No Man’s Sky. It’s built right into the name, see. You can take the game from Green Man Gaming for a cool $25, however, and that’s exactly what I did last night because that’s cheap, and I wanted it, and I want my kid to have a go at it too because it’s gonna blow his Spore-playing mind. As VG247 pointed out, I am not alone: SteamCharts is tracking a massive boost in concurrency since the NEXT launch yesterday, over 41,000 people playing. June’s peak, by comparison, was 2000-ish. (Launch was over 200,000, though.) Polygon called NEXT the “second coming” of the game. The @NoMansPics Twitter account has exploded with eyecandy. The NMS subreddit is filled with weepy gratitude, particularly from people thrilled to finally be playing with distant friends. Steam’s recent reviews have jumped up to “very positive,” but it doesn’t look as if the game will ever live down its overall … [Read more...] about No Man’s Sky’s concurrency is waaaaaaay up since the launch of NEXT
IMCGames added a new PvP mode feature in the latest Closed Beta for Tree of Savior Online. The PvP system in ToS is currently instanced based so no open world trolling or PK'ing just yet nor are there any plans for it in the future for the time being. Below you will find a collection of PvP gameplay videos along with a lot of my personal thoughts and opinions of the system. Participating in a PvP match was fairly easy because players were able to queue up for the solo PvP arena anywhere in the world by clicking on a PvP icon next to the minimap. The game doesn't have any equalizing system in terms of gear or stats, so the matches was a bit unbalance and quite funny. I believe they just wanted to test the basic core of the PvP system for now. During the last few days of beta players were starting to get used to the PvP system of Tree of Savior Online and started to experiment with various builds. Wizard type classes went from maximum INT to full CON just to survive powerful … [Read more...] about STEPARU News, Reviews, Previews & Information for Foreign Games Tree of Savior Online PvP Review and First Impressions
I've been thoroughly playing Black Desert Online for a good two months now, which should explain the lack of articles on my website lately. Most of the end game features lead back to guild related or the pvp content because it doesn't really have any major PvE activities like raids or dungeons yet, other than various life skills and summoned weekly and daily bosses. New GvG and PvP videos added for fun :3. Battles Are Won with Strategy, Trust, and Negotiations! Although I am in sizeable guild most, one of the main reasons we won is because our guild decided to make peace and form an alliance with other guilds. There is no official "alliance system" in Black Desert Online so I had to make sure that I didn't accidentally kill an ally guild in the GvG siege area. The alliance is purely based on trust and went something like if you help us get this castle, we will help you obtain other castles in the future. Not that I can read Korean, but you should get the gist. Meanwhile, the strategy … [Read more...] about STEPARU News, Reviews, Previews & Information for Foreign Games Black Desert Online PvP and GvG Review
