This "holiday" is stupid. Our seasoned readers will know we often call it tongue-in-cheek day, or OppositeDay, or even 'Stupid stuff that would never happen but hey let's grab a headline day.' Every once in a while, April Fool's Day makes games better. From Blizzard's 2002 intrudction of the Pandaren Empire, 2004 introduction of the Goblin Tinker, and 2011 appearance tab leading to transmogs, it's not uncommong. Well, at least for Blizzard. I'm sure you guys can help me out by listing a few non-Blizzard AFD jokes that became realities. April Fools’ Day this year has been pretty weird, given that MMO studios started rolling out their pranks and events in the middle of last week, and here we are on a holiday and a Sunday too. We’ve seen everything from sitting in chairs to real-life theme parks teased. Pokemon teamed up with a noodle company. Elder Scrolls Online’s been running its Jester’s Festival for four days already! I’m pretty fond of Path of Exile: Royale myself. War Thunder’s devs invited everybody to play the quiet game. One such MMO studio is ZeniMax, which is kicking off its Elder Scrolls Online event this coming Thursday.
