Trion Worlds announced today that the next expansion for ArcheAge titled "ArcheAge: Legends Return" launches on April 5th and will be known as update 4.5. The new update adds new customizable dragon mounts which can be raised and used as battle mounts. The update also adds new major world bosses as well as major balance changes to many of the game's classes. The launch of 4.5 also brings with it 2 new progression server, both of which will be available to free users on day 1. Players who pre-order a Legends Return Entry Pack can secure their names beforehand. These packs run for $9.99 - $99.99. Numerous other titles, including Rift from Trion, requires a monthly sub to access these progression servers. I suspect the fresh start servers will be a big hit, as they have been with other MMORPGs. Like other progression servers, these new servers will start off with limited content and lower level … [Read more...] about ArcheAge 4.5 Update Launching April 5, Adding 2 New Progression Servers

Diaries From ArcheAge: Endless Review Queue
I feel like I’ve gotten a lot done since ArcheAge launched just a few days ago. Don’t believe me? I got my homework done in a timely fashion for my journalism class, and I even managed to level in Destiny to 23 with rank 1 in the Vanguard faction. At the rate things are going, I should be level 25 by the end of the week and might even have some coveted Vanguard armor. I’ve also been able to catch up on some reading and on the overwhelming list of podcasts I subscribe to. I also can’t even describe the amount of napping I’ve gotten in. This must be a testament to ArcheAge, but rarely do I come across a game that I still want to play after sitting in a queue for an hour and a half, and that is with patron priority. By that time, I’d probably be doing something else, like fixing the neck muscles I’d strained by falling asleep in my $15 computer chair that has no back support. The more I venture into ArcheAge, the more I find things that I like. … [Read more...] about Diaries From ArcheAge: Endless Review Queue
