Ubisoft has posted a brief note on its blog to name the director for the live action film based on The Division. David Leitch is known for his work as the director of Deadpool 2 and Atomic Blonde and will be taking the reins of the film set in a dystopian version of New York after a devastating pandemic. Starring Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal, The Division is set in a version of New York City decimated by a pandemic virus spread through cash exchanged all over the city on Black Friday. As Christmas draws near and the city descends into chaos, a group of civilians trained to respond to the crisis is activated to save the city. The Atomic Shop is the premium currency "mall" in Fallout 76. Players use real world money to purchase the virtual currency called Atoms, though Atoms can also be earned in-game. Currently, players can purchase 500 Atoms for about $5, 1100 Atoms for $9.99, 2400 Atoms for about $20 and 5000 Atoms for $40. Wily holiday elves on the Fallout 76 Reddit, however, are none too happy about the prices for limited time Christmas items (and others) in the shop. As you walk through the wasteland in the Fallout 76, be on the lookout for Atoms. Yes, with a capital letter, that’s the game’s microtransaction currency. (We’re aware that technically everything has atoms.) The shop allowing you to spend them in the game is now available, but it is also non-functional; you’ll be using the shop right now just to preview what’s there, even though you can actually pick up some Atoms from in-game achievements. So what’s for sale? At the moment, it looks like it’s all cosmetic options, although some of the emotes look like they could have some important gameplay functions (like “Dying of Thirst” to indicate when you are, well, dying of thirst).
