Epic Games is still doggedly pursuing supposed Fortnite cheaters. In their lawsuit, Epic Games is seeking injunctive relief, barring the defendant from cheating or sharing further videos of cheating in Fortnite, as well as statutory damages due to the defendant distributing said cheats and advertising them on his Youtube channel. One spot where Epic Games may have lost the mark is in their belief that Rogers had a financial investment in the cheat itself. The mother’s objections include the claims that she never gave parental consent for Fortnite’s terms and conditions, that the developers claims of profit lost on a free-to-play game are impossible to substantiate, and that her son did not help develop the cheating software but simply downloaded it as a user. Furthermore, she stated that the company released her son’s name, which is illegal under Delaware law when concerning a minor. Are you missing City of Heroes this week, what with the 14th anniversary of its launch and all? We are too. Earlier this month, we wrote about one of the many brilliant homages to the game, Super Entity Game Server (aka SEGS).
