Rocket League: New Progression System
The “Progression Update” patch will be coming online to Rocket League on August 29. Once the patch is deployed, the level cap will be removed and it “flattens the amount of XP needed for leveling up”. In addition, players will be able to create, manage or join Clubs of up to 20-members each. Lastly a number of new achievements and trophies will be added alongside various quality of life improvements. The new progression system is being moved from “offline” to “online only” so that “no player can ‘game the system’ to earn levels, titles and other unlocks”. As players gain XP and progress through levels, they can earn random items of Uncommon rarity or better. This is done to make earning free items more “consistent and predictable”. Eventually, [head coach Josh] Buchanan’s hope is that collegiate leagues will be set up for official Fortnite competitions.” Open tryouts will begin for the 2018-2019 school year. Sometimes, you get several losses in a row, or you feel like you’re the worst player ever. So here are ten tips to get you ranking up again. There are a few default settings that actually hinder progress in competitive ranking. Specifically, these are the ‘Camshake’ setting and the ‘Ballcam’ setting. The former simulates speed by making the camera shake. It’s disorienting and makes it harder to aim at the ball properly. Therefore, it is very important to turn it off. The latter setting lets you choosewhether to toggle the ballcam by holding down a button or by just pressing it. Of course, since it’s hard holding a button while performing some complicated maneuvers, it’s better to set it to a single button press. The rest of the settings are a matter … [Read more...] about Ten Tips to Help You Rank Up in Rocket League
