We All Need Solas Closure No spoilers here, don’t worry. And to keep it that way, I’ll just say this: Solas’s story arc was and still is one of the best Dragon Age plot lines ever, and the end of Inquisition’s final DLC Trespasser left me wanting more and more. We absolutely need to have closure about what happens next, and hopefully Dragon Age 4 doesn’t needlessly discard this plot line and just roll in with an entirely new story. The worst sin BioWare could commit with the new game is to leave fans hanging and instead make a prequel game or some rubbish. So I say again, if they can’t handle it, give it to someone who can. Just look at Baldur’s Gate III. … [Read more...] about Dear BioWare: Gives Us The Next Dragon Age Before It’s Too Late

A Post Dedicated to my Bioware Boyfriends
I had looked forward to Staff Lieutenant Kaidan Alenko’s romance arc from the very first moment I encountered him aboard the Normandy…until I actually had a conversation with him. This man clearly has a lot of baggage but not a whole lot of personality. Still, while I may rag on Kaidan a lot, he does have many redeeming qualities that make him quite endearing, provided you can get past his whole angsty biotics-experimentation-ruined-my-life shtick. He is also extremely loyal to those he cares about, both as a soldier and as a lover, and a part of me is already dying a little inside when I think about how I’ll cheat on him in the sequel…well, no, not really. … [Read more...] about A Post Dedicated to my Bioware Boyfriends
[NM] Kotaku Investigates Bioware, Bioware Makes It Worse
Bioware responded with a very stern letter to the public addressing the article. The response is quite baffling as the developer hides behind its declared passion for its customers, concluding with a thinly veiled attack at Kotaku that the article exposing Bioware’s poor working conditions and indifferent management is somehow a detriment to the industry and craft. … [Read more...] about [NM] Kotaku Investigates Bioware, Bioware Makes It Worse
Former BioWare boss expounds on EA’s role in substudios and business models
“I think they are a great company to be a part of because they care very much about the creative process – they care about that – so they want you to be successful, and they will do whatever they can to help you be successful. Every company’s got constraints […] but they are excellent at giving creative freedom for sure.” … [Read more...] about Former BioWare boss expounds on EA’s role in substudios and business models
BioWare: Anthem will be ‘unlike anything you’ve played’
BioWare General Manager Casey Hudson wrote the first of apparently several upcoming posts on Monday in which he acknowledged the studio’s failures in delivering more stories for Mass Effect: Andromeda while also putting in a plug for a brighter future with Anthem. Hudson said that Andromeda’s DLC stumble led to BioWare “refocusing” its mission by not losing sight of the world, character, and storytelling in its games. … [Read more...] about BioWare: Anthem will be ‘unlike anything you’ve played’
