Change of Plans This morning I was all ready and prepared to go on an angry tear about the change to specs in World of Warcraft on Legion Alpha. Then I thought to myself… my blog has already hosted more than enough “I’m Angry at WoW” posts that I really did not need to add another one to the pile. I still think the idea is quite possibly the dumbest I have seen yet, but I figure if it does go in… I can either deal with it, or stop playing again and no amount of gnashing of my teeth is going to make a change. I have next to zero clout when it comes to things like that, so better just to ignore it for the moment and try not to get worked up over it. In the meantime however I finally was able to pop into Blade and Soul and give the game a proper try. I talked yesterday about some of my misgivings…. of which there were many, so the game started off on negative footing before I even entered. Last night my friend Liore … [Read more...] about Blade and Soul Impressions
Blade and soul gameplay
As some of you may already know, Blade and Soul was built on Unreal Engine 3 and that engine has long been left in the dust since the introduction of Unreal Engine 4 in late 2014. Fortunately for Blade and Soul fans, NCSoft is pushing to get transition the game to Unreal 4 and with that should come some sweet graphical updates and smoother gameplay. Take a look at the preview video released for the Korean version of the game: There's no release schedule for the Unreal engine update just yet, but I suspect it should be out by the end of the year for the Korean version (and hopefully the NA one). The update will also add some other fun stuff like fishing. FacebookTwitterReddit Related … [Read more...] about NCSoft Previews Blade and Soul’s Unreal Engine 4 Transition
First and foremost I feel like I should start this video off with the latest news surrounding Bless as it is the most hyped MMORPG release at this point. Next up we have Soul Worker’s latest update – bringing with it Jin Seipatsu – another male character that the game desperately needed utilizing my favorite fighting style in action games: Fisting. Blade and Soul is going down a new route with their new Eternal Night update coming May 9. In a surprising (or not surprising if you’ve taken a look at their population numbers recently) move by Perfect Entertainment, both Swordsman Online and Jade Dynasty have been announced to be shutting their doors to players on June 5, 2018. With the closure of their Classic servers and the launch of their new Phoenix update, players can be happy to know that they have added in various forms of additional content, including a new PvP field, two new dungeons, and a new 10-person normal difficulty raid. Yes, … [Read more...] about Your Weekly Byte Of MMORPG News: Bless Online New Party Gameplay Footage, New Soul Worker Character
Today I want to take a look at the new class videos released by Neowiz showcasing the revamped combat system. Now, I was a fan of Bless Online before they overhauled the combat. I played the Korean version, and the Russian version before the changes went into effect. Therefore I wasn’t as heavily invested in the overhaul as many others. However that doesn’t mean to say I wasn’t behind it – I was. As I’m sure you noticed already, the combat is not, in fact, action-based. I daresay it’s something reminiscent of if Aion had a lovechild with Blade and Soul. To make combat more exciting, they have added in Chains and Combos similar to Aion if you’ve ever played it. There are other notable combat mechanics, such as the Stance system in place as well, affecting the first 3 of your classes skills – similar to how Guild Wars 2 handles its weapon swapping system. One drawback I see to this combat system however is for healers. Now … [Read more...] about Bless Online Combat Overhaul Gameplay, Early Access and Founders Packs
Now I am going to be taking a relatively different approach to this video as opposed to the norm: Instead of simply going through parts of the game one by one, I’m going to be discussing the game as a whole. If you’re looking for whether I think Soul Worker Online is or is not worth playing in 2017 you’re likely going to want to jump ahead to the end of this video. Otherwise, by all means, continue watching. Now when looking for an MMORPG you have to take several things into consideration. GRAPHICSGAMEPLAYMUSICSTORY Soul Worker has a lot of things going for it but at the same time it does get held back by the fact that it isn’t a traditional MMORPG. Being restricted to running dungeons repeatedly makes for repetitive gameplay and the lack of a sense of exploration and discovery definitely hurts your ability to find new things to see and do. Nevertheless, this genre of MMORPG is still semi-popular, being that there are still several MMORPGs such as … [Read more...] about Is Soul Worker Online Worth Playing In 2017/2018?
