We have witnessed how blogging has taken the internet world by storm with its almost startling number of ways in which it could be molded. If there’s anything that WordPress has proven, is its amazing malleability with which everyone could claim a piece of his own on the internet of things. Lifestyle blogging has went on to become one of the biggest niches of blogging and the most popular sub-genre among it being the food blogging. Lifestyle blogging isn’t an easy bet, even though it tends to seem pretty straightforward and easy in the beginning. Lifestyle blogging needs significant experience and the capacity to grab the attention of readers with fresh content every week and a bit of originality. Impressions from Gamescom 2015 – Blaugust Day 11
Thursday is the day where gamescom is usually the least busy out of all the days that are open to the general public. But it is still far from empty! That’s the reason why we completely skipped gamescom last year. There was also nothing there we had really wanted to see, so we only went to the Guild War 2 community party in the evening. This year, however, we wanted to see gamescom as well, even though again, there was nothing we really wanted to see. I don’t need the Guild Wars 2 demo, for example, when I can just play the beta weekend event on my home PC. Thankfully, they opened more halls this year which meant that the crowd got to spread out a bit more and I think the paths between the booths were also a bit wider. The only hall that was so crowded you could hardly move was the merchandise one. Very weird if you ask me! It took us a bit longer than planned to arrive in Cologne (1,5 hours drive) as there had been quite some traffic on the roads. But we … [Read more...] about Impressions from Gamescom 2015 – Blaugust Day 11

EverQuesting: Could Daybreak’s new FPS be an EverQuest?
With the constant clamoring from fans for Daybreak (or someone) to create an honest-to-goodness next-gen sequel to the EverQuest franchise, you’d hope that it would actually happen someday. Obviously EverQuest Next itself didn’t pan out — not that everyone considered that title a sequel or even deserving of the EQ name. But it was impossible not to find a glimmer of hope at the news that Daybreak was hiring for positions involving a new game. And then even that tiny flame of hope was snuffed out. The upcoming unannounced title is apparently a first-person shooter, a multi-platform FPS. That doesn’t sound very compatible with the Norrath people want. But that doesn’t mean it won’t be the Norrath people get! Now before you hyperventilate: This is just speculation. I know EQIII the FPS is a longshot. If it has any ties to Daybreak’s existing portfolio at all, the new game is much more likely to be related … [Read more...] about EverQuesting: Could Daybreak’s new FPS be an EverQuest?
Claiming Lost Precipice
Yesterday, our German guild had planned their first try to claim their guild hall. To be honest, we have kind of neglected those guys this year. We know each other from Warhammer Online where we even switched from Destruction to Order only to play with them. A step we never regretted! Of course, we also wanted to play Guild Wars 2 with them, but with being on different servers, it was kind of difficult to do. Since ArenaNet has changed to those “mega servers”, it’s become a lot easier! When playing with them yesterday, it was no issue at all that we’re on Aurora Glade and they are on Drakkar Lake. Just as we did in Dragon Season, this guild also had a poll to choose which of the two available guild halls to claim. Unlike Dragon Season, the Drachenreiter made the correct choice, though, and 100 % had voted for Lost Precipice! Go them! :p On the other hand, this means that once Dragon Season claimed their guild hall, I will get to see and visit both guild halls. … [Read more...] about Claiming Lost Precipice
