It most RPG-MMO, I have not seen a game that have a weather restriction. We all be hunting animals and monster for their loot such as raw meat, blood, bones, coins, fur, and etc. But aiming how realistic can be, we need some resistance over the weather. For example, killing a bear and collecting its fur is very decent to wear in the cold climate. Also I was wondering there will be rating different temperatures over the weather. Do we really need better clothing to resist multiple levels? If this gonna be a open world, it has to different various of climate. Deserts, Mountains, Snow Field, Active Volcanoes, Lava Field, other major Biome. My Fellow Travelers do you think the game gives us this challenge to travel the world? … [Read more...] about Will There Be Any Weather Restriction?

Dynamic weather matters to you in MMOs, especially sandboxes. But what about in battle royales? When you’re hiding in your bathtub or running for your life, do you really care whether the sun is shining or little droplets of water are falling from the sky? Hope so, because it’s part of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ update 19, currently in testing. So is bullet penetration, zone reworks, and map ping markers. That last is actually the subject of some serious uproar on Reddit from players who believe that being able to mark enemy sightings dumbs the game down and makes it easier for scrubs who don’t know anything about coordination, community, and the maps they’re playing on. PUBG Corp is apparently still working on resolving that. Meanwhile, PUBG Mobile is getting a crossover with Mission Impossible that may strike BR gamers as akin to Fortnite’s Avenger’s mashup. Guess what? Atlas did in fact launch over the holiday season into its early access, and it immediately started weathering storms due to its rushed deployment. The developers have promised that things will improve in the new year, but due to those issues, players have packed up and… wait, the game has actually been boasting solid player retention. Huh. Ah, well, let’s check out some other beta news. The start of a new year, then! And while the new developments are trickling in as people get back to work, we still have our list of games in testing just below. If there’s something wrong with that list, please, go ahead and let us know down in the comments. We respect that. As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under … [Read more...] about Betawatch: Atlas weathers its storms with strong player retention
I am not up to date on what the games engine can handle but I was wondering if dynamic weather effects were to be added or at least conceptualized? I feel adding these effects would make the game even more visually appealing(more than it already is)! In some other games that I have played(none come to my immediate memory) both day/night and weather had the ability to play a roll on game play such as adding both buffs and debuffs to the character. I have read through the Fractured news tab and saw that the environment(water in particular) could be manipulated by using ice and electricity spells but what about the addition of randomized and persistent weather such as rain, fog or even hail? The ways different types of weather could effect both PvP and PvE are endless! Just discovered this game a few hours ago and I am already truly hyped for what this game has to offer! Leave your feedback below, please! … [Read more...] about Dynamic Weather/Day & Night Effects?
When good players do nothing, evil mobs triumph. So why not get out there and punch evil in its face? Portal Knights needs a lot of help with this following Thursday’s Villainous Update. A trio of new epic bosses have arrived in the game and stand defiant that anyone can beat them. In addition to these fights, a ranger’s guild has moved into Hintertown, a smart camera option has been added, and more options have arrived in creative mode. Players will also discover that completed events now pay out in XP and gold. If you haven’t picked up Portal Knights yet, it’s an excellent time to do so. The studio has deeply discounted the game on Steam, taking 60% off the base price. This means that instead of paying $20, you can get Portal Knights for just $8 through September 6th. Not bad!
