Fan Festival Was Amazing Watch live video from finalfantasyxiv on TwitchThere have been several community events that I have watched over the years for the various games I have been into.  I’ve watched SOE Live, and Blizzcon… so I guess I was expecting the Fan Festival to feel pretty much the same, but in the end it felt considerably different.  With Blizzcon there is always the feeling that the folks from Blizzard are imposed upon to be up in front of the fans, especially during the question and answer sessions.  SOE Live on the other hand feels more like a gathering of loyal fans to a long running franchise, but even it felt different.  When one of the members of the FFXIV team was on stage, they were practically glowing with excitement at being there.  If you think about it, I guess it makes sense… because this is a game that was so bad during the 1.0 launch that they simply could not charge money for it.  These team members have … [Read more...] about Heavensward

Sporting Playstation 1 graphics and Super Nintendo performance, Onigiri is the most pathetic thing that will release on the Nintendo Switch in 2018. Onigiri is such an offensively incompetent mess that I find it hard to believe that the game wasn’t made this bad on purpose, either as a method of intentionally driving a business into the ground to fulfill a personal vendetta, or it’s just the front for an international money laundering operation like a pizzeria run by the mob that gets its real money selling heroin on the side. Am I saying that developer Cyberstep Inc has underlying motivations for releasing this game on the Switch apart from releasing a game? Yes. Yes, I am. And I do so because the alternative is to admit that Cyberstep is one of the worst developers to put out an Asian MMO, which is like giving the worst score of a pool of test takers that already sit in the .001 percentile in a classroom full of baboons. Gungho Online Entertainment revealed that the Final Fantasy franchise has returned to Puzzle & Dragons, which adds some new characters such as Thancred and Aerith. Fan-favorite characters will also be returning, such as Cloud and Sephiroth, with Final Fantasy XII’s mighty Yiazmat showing up at the end of a 3-Player Multiplayer Dungeon. Returning dungeons will also have a “4 players or less’ floors, and will give players a shot at earning a Pixelit. Pixelit is an Evo Material that can be used to transform certain Final Fantasy characters into their pixel forms via Pixel Evolution. This event will run from August 8th until August 18th and will feature new characters as well as some returning favorites.
