Classic wow server
I used to love World of Warcraft. Really, I did. It was the game that I sunk thousands of hours into, across about 13 years. After Wrath of the Lich King, the enchantment of the MMO started to wear off. Dailies were really an advent of Burning Crusade, but they were, in my estimation, tested with the Ahn Qiraj event, way back in vanilla. Over the last couple of expansions, dailies became a necessity: If you weren’t doing them, you weren’t keeping up and weren’t as relevant or important. Classic WoW has seen a major resurgence of people subbing to World of Warcraft again though. Final Fantasy XIV While FFXIV certainly doesn’t need any help with player numbers, this popular subscription MMORPG by Square Enix has no reason for an event server of any sort. Or does it? A classic FFXIV server could definitely be interesting, as it focuses on the vanilla game to give new players an chance to experience what it was like at the beginning, or for veterans to relive their early days. The problem is, vanilla FFXIV wasn’t all that great was it, as the newer expansions, its stories and dungeons and raids are what truly makes the game. The servers are expected to go live at 6 p.m. EDT this evening, simultaneously around the globe, so you west coasters will still be at work, and the Europeans will be heading off to dreamland, but Classic will be up and hopefully functional when you are. The wait for World of Warcraft Classic is finally over, as the game is now live world-wide. Since its announcement a couple of BlizzCons back, the buzz surrounding WoW Classic is immeasurable.
