Play SMITE for freeSMITE 5.9: Dragon’s Fortune is technically live on all three major platforms today, with a pile of bug fixes, new skins, new chest items, and the usual round of item balancing tweaks. As for the gods themselves, here’s the breakdown of what to expect: Ah Puch’s Corpse Explosion’s damage will shift around to rely a little bit less on minions, buffing him in the early game; Cu Chulainn is getting a wee nerf to Berserk; Erlang Shen, Neith, Skadi, Zeus, and Nox will see slight buffs; Hachiman and Xbalanque are being nerfed slightly to bring them into parity with other characters of their archetype; Zhong Kui should be a whole lot less frustrating to play; and Chernobog, the game’s newest god, is getting well-earned buffs to make him easier to play. Of course, that rundown assumes you can actually get in to play, which isn’t a given as the servers have been struggling to stay afloat thanks to tons of people playing and a strange … [Read more...] about SMITE’s Dragon’s Fortune is live today as Hi-Rez works to fix server crashes

Sea of Thieves devs are aiming their cannons directly at the game's biggest critique: A lack of content. People savagely critiqued the game for simply being an empty world with nothing to do once the novelty of being a pirate wears off. While I agree with this lack of 'things to do' to a certain extent, I will push back and say that people have largely forgotten what it means to have fund and make your own fun and content in an open world where players are the content. Regardless, Sea of Thieves devs are attempting to remedy this problem. How? With more content, and an attempt to create a content/patch cadence for updating the game to bring more for players to do. The video doesn't do a whole lot to explain any of this in any sort of detail. I believe this was a quasi-rushed attempt at getting SOMETHING out there to address the fans, lest they be accused (by people like me) for waiting too long to fix the issues with their game ala Battlefront 2. Still, we can dissect their … [Read more...] about Sea of Thieves to Add More Content
