What that means is that I work via the internet and I don't have a permanent place that I call my "home". Digital implies that my work is connected in cyberspace and nomad implies that I'm always on the move. Basically, I am allowed the freedom to travel around the world as long as I can connect to the internet long enough to get my job done. NOTE: Before we move ahead, I want to mention that some digital nomads focus more on having a fulfilling internet career while others focus more on the "nomad" part- they have a passion for travel and work merely as a means to sustain that passion. While this is totally acceptable, I'm all about finding a job that you both love and will allow you to travel. Being a digital nomad is an amazing, fulfilling, and enriching experience… for me. But it's not for everyone. Most digital nomads I know are wanderlusters (people who love to travel), but some just love the freedom of being able to go anywhere at any time and communicate with their … [Read more...] about 3 Important Questions You Need To Answer If You Want To Be A Digital Nomad

5 Debunked Myths About Being A Digital Nomad
I love what I do. I would not want to be doing anything else. Being a digital nomad is great. I get to travel, meet new people, speak different languages, mingle with new and exciting cultures, and learn a whole lot about a world that I didn’t know existed. And I can sustain this level of nomadicism with my digital work. Currently, I’m working here at SML as an editor. I’m also a freelance writer, I’ve run part-time businesses before (with very part-time earnings), and soon I’ll be starting up my own blog. All of these things take place on the internet (with the exception of writing, but posting articles and getting paid requires the internet), so all of these things can be done wherever there’s internet connection. But being a digital nomad is more than one of these romantic dreams that gets touted by self-professed “internet gurus” that try and sell you their products. I’m here to say: It’s not a particularly glamorous … [Read more...] about 5 Debunked Myths About Being A Digital Nomad

As I’ve said before, and as I will say countless more times, being a digital nomad is tough. If it doesn’t suit your personality, you are not going to like it. "Blogging gifted me My first car". That day was a milestone in the journey of my life, and It's like history repeating itself. Today on 29th July 2015 I'm rewriting the story with one change, and this time it's a "Flat" instead of a "Car". After living in rented flats for the last seven years, finally I have a permanent shelter & address. Last year I purchased a flat in Gurgaon with my blogging income from blogging & home loan from ICICI bank. And, Finally today I got the possession of the flat. This is once in a lifetime moment & my sincere gratitude to ShoutMeLoud, to you & all the readers. Little backstory… I left my parents house in 2002, and I dreamed of following the steps of my Mentor (Grandfather), who moved from a small village to a city & set a landmark for the generations to follow. I'm not close to what he did; someone who build a house with his own hands, but I'm content that my direction is right. On 1st December 2008, I never thought blogging could … [Read more...] about Blogging Gifted Me Shelter For The Life – Feeling Blessed!
