So in my last article, I talked about what a digital nomad is and how to see if you’re ready to be one. You can read that article here. As I’ve said before, and as I will say countless more times, being a digital nomad is tough. If it doesn’t suit your personality, you are not going to like it. Like everything in life, it requires a lot of hard work and dedication; it is not the glamorous lifestyle that some people make it out to be. But you have probably heard an “internet marketing guru” talk about how it’s the most amazing thing ever. Well, internet newbie, you need to be aware of scams. If I were trying to sell you something, I would probably tell you that I could make all of your dreams come true. Now, maybe being a digital nomad does indeed sound like a dream, but it’s also not 100% lounging by a pool in a tropical land of magic. Again, if I were trying to sell you something, I’d show you a picture like this: This is me… … [Read more...] about The Ultimate Guide On How To Find A Digital Nomad Job

3 Important Questions You Need To Answer If You Want To Be A Digital Nomad
What that means is that I work via the internet and I don't have a permanent place that I call my "home". Digital implies that my work is connected in cyberspace and nomad implies that I'm always on the move. Basically, I am allowed the freedom to travel around the world as long as I can connect to the internet long enough to get my job done. NOTE: Before we move ahead, I want to mention that some digital nomads focus more on having a fulfilling internet career while others focus more on the "nomad" part- they have a passion for travel and work merely as a means to sustain that passion. While this is totally acceptable, I'm all about finding a job that you both love and will allow you to travel. Being a digital nomad is an amazing, fulfilling, and enriching experience… for me. But it's not for everyone. Most digital nomads I know are wanderlusters (people who love to travel), but some just love the freedom of being able to go anywhere at any time and communicate with their … [Read more...] about 3 Important Questions You Need To Answer If You Want To Be A Digital Nomad
5 Debunked Myths About Being A Digital Nomad
I love what I do. I would not want to be doing anything else. Being a digital nomad is great. I get to travel, meet new people, speak different languages, mingle with new and exciting cultures, and learn a whole lot about a world that I didn’t know existed. And I can sustain this level of nomadicism with my digital work. Currently, I’m working here at SML as an editor. Today is a special day. It’s the 8th anniversary of ShoutMeLoud. And all of this started with a conversation between two friends… Me (Harsh): Hey Dude, can I borrow your credit card!? Ankit: Why? Me: I want to buy hosting & a domain name for my blog. Ankit: You are mad! Are you sure about it? Me: Yes, I’m sure. And he gave me his credit card. It was on 30th November 2008 when I made my first ever online purchase (technically someone else made the purchase because it was his credit card). This purchase was for a domain name and hosting. It seems like yesterday since I launched ShoutMeLoud. It’s something which started from a one room flat and has become a global enterprise. It’s inspired, guided, and touched the lives of many people around the globe. Today, on 1st December, ShoutMeLoud turns eight years old, and it’s been an epic journey thus far.
