Fortnite Battle Royale just got way cooler with the launch of Patch v7.30. The latest patch comes with a brand new weapon that might just give your opponents cold feet – the Chiller Grenade. The Chiller Grenade knocks enemies, allies, and vehicles back and will cause them to slip and slide with icy feet for 7 seconds. The patch also introduces Bluetooth controller support for mobile devices and the new Solid Gold Limited Time Mode with all-Legendary weapon spawns and increased material gathering rates. The devs have also kicked off a new Pop-Up Tournament called the Architect Pop-Up Cup. The tournament’s rules allow for players to edit any player-made structure regardless of their team and is open to players with account level 10 and above. “This is an experiment that we’d like to try out in this testing environment, but aren’t quite sure of the full impact,” says Epic. “We’d love to hear feedback from your experiences playing with this … [Read more...] about Latest Fortnite Update Adds New Grenade, A New LTM, And Mobile Controller Support

Tamriel Infinium: What teaser swag tells us about Elder Scrolls Online’s next chapter
I try to be as authentic as I can be. I believe it makes me more trustworthy as a reporter and reviewer. When a studio presents me with a piece of hype, I try to avoid it. I try not to make a big deal because I know it’s just another way for a studio to advertise its next big thing. And if history is any indication of the future, the more hype placed on a property or project, the worse the product will be. Large studios with big budgets have the money to polish their turds with a lot of shine, after all. But here we have a possible exception. I’m probably going to end up hating myself for this, but let’s talk about the latest piece of promotional material I received from ZeniMax Online Studios, without the influence of spoilers from datamining. I’m almost embarrassed to admit it, but it’s got me genuinely excited about what’s coming next for Elder Scrolls Online. Congratulations, ZOS, you win this time! Elite Dangerous is getting a fleshed-out MMO guild system in Beyond Chapter Four
Frontier is continuing to pump out livestreams highlighting the details of Elite Dangerous’ Beyond Chapter Four. Yesterday, the stream’s focus was on squadrons, essentially a type of player guild in the game. “Squadrons have been designed for Commanders who want to band together and organise themselves in-game. This might be to play together, or to focus on certain types of gameplay such as bounty hunting, Community Goals, or furthering the agenda of a faction,” Frontier says. “The aim of Squadrons is to support and augment multiplayer organisation and combined effort in-game! The Elite Dangerous community have created so many incredible out-of-game ways to organise how they play Elite Dangerous in player groups, and we would never dream of removing or replacing those systems, but Squadrons offers something for any type of player. If you form a Squadron that is looking to engage in activities such as dominating the leaderboards, taking on the Thargoids, or … [Read more...] about Elite Dangerous is getting a fleshed-out MMO guild system in Beyond Chapter Four
Feature Spotlight #7
Hi, fellow gamer and MMO enthusiast! Yes, the time has come. The spotlight many of you have been waiting (way too long) for, is finally here. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s player-made towns time! Let’s kick the article off with a summary for those of you who don’t feel like tackling this “demanding” reading! SUMMARY In Fractured, having a base of operation is something really desirable for all players. As with all our features, we don’t want to exclude any part of our userbase from enjoying the game, and that’s why we’re giving everyone plenty of options on how to live their social life. In the system we’re building, lone wolves can claim their own lot of land outside of a town, where they can build a home, basic crafting stations, cultivations and livestock. More social players can instead band together and start a settlement, or join an existing one. The most ambitious players can become the elected leaders of a free town through … [Read more...] about Feature Spotlight #7

I didn’t discover my passion for writing until the past few years, although I was always an avid readers as a kid and wanted people to read my works. The past three years have been almost like a blessing and I finally found my interest in writing and moreover an outlet to express them. Nothing hurts more bad for a writer than having your works not being read widely. After having written over hundreds of articles for the past few years, I was given a chance to join the ShoutMeLoud community by the humble Harsh Agarwal and I didn’t have second thoughts about trying my luck here, and I have been accepted with some aplomb by the wonderful community here. After having been written over a million words, including 60 articles for ShoutMeLoud, hundreds of articles on my personal blog and thousands of words for the first draft of my novel, my experience of working with Harsh and writing for the ShoutMeLoud community was a memorable one. During this journey, I have … [Read more...] about 7 Invaluable Blog Writing Tips I Learned After Writing for ShoutMeLoud
