Snipers, bane of every FPS game. Praised by their teammates for well-placed shot or taking out precise targets or hated by… anyone else for “lack of skill”. It’s no different in Elder Scrolls Online. Building a reliable sniper build is a little bit tricky and requires more than just “spam snipe”. Choose your race There are two most common choices for building archers. Bosmer have amazing stamina recovery, extra damage from stealth. Khajiit is another viable option with its 8% extra weapon critical on top of bonus sneak damage. But for current PvP meta there is a third option: Argonian. Our favorite lizards used to have one of the worst racial passives out there, since Morrowind patch that has changed giving those Black Marsh folk amazing versatility. If you've been looking forward to the Summerset expansion to Elder Scrolls Online, you don't have long to wait. While you do, however, you may want to check out the official patch notes that are hot off the press and live on the ESO forums. Summerset brings a ton of new content and feature improvements to ESO such as: Players have a ton of new content to explore in Summerset including an entire new zone, the home of the High Elves. New ways to play will open up with the Psijic Order skill line that includes five active abilities, five passive abilities and an ultimate ability. Don't forget that Jewelry Crafting is now available that allows you to "craft, upgrade, research, and transmute Rings & Necklaces". The Cloudrest 12-player Trial is added with Normal and Veteran versions featuring "unique item sets and rewards". The base game has been upgraded to with Battlegrounds available to everyone. Beta testing for Elder Scrolls Online’s Summerset expansion – as well as the free update 18 that’ll launch alongside it – began this week as the chapter rolled out to the PTS, with plenty of glimpses at new housing and wearables on the way. What else is new in MMORPG testing this week? Defiance 2050’s big PC closed beta is live for the weekend – though console players have been put off a little while longer. Old School RuneScape has begun testing its mobile client. That’s not very old school, but we’re not complaining. WoW’s Battle for Azeroth kicked off player testing of dark iron dwarves and mag’ghar orcs.
