Snipers, bane of every FPS game. Praised by their teammates for well-placed shot or taking out precise targets or hated by… anyone else for “lack of skill”. It’s no different in Elder Scrolls Online. Building a reliable sniper build is a little bit tricky and requires more than just “spam snipe”. Choose your race There are two most common choices for building archers. Bosmer have amazing stamina recovery, extra damage from stealth. Khajiit is another viable option with its 8% extra weapon critical on top of bonus sneak damage. But for current PvP meta there is a third option: Argonian. Our favorite lizards used to have one of the worst racial passives out there, since Morrowind patch that has changed giving those Black Marsh folk amazing versatility. With their resource regeneration whenever drinking a potion, health and healing bonuses Argonians are made for PvP. Regardless of which class you decide to play with, … [Read more...] about ESO

Play Elder Scrolls OnlineWith Summerset on the horizon, ZeniMax is shifting around just what goes into Elder Scrolls Online’s base package, according to a dev post published this morning. For starters, the Tamriel Unlimited name that’s been used for the base game since it went sub-optional is being dropped, replaced with the Morrowind tag. “This means that moving forward, if you purchase this new base game – The Elder Scrolls Online, not The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited – it will include the Morrowind Chapter,” says the studio. Of course, if you’re preordering Summerset, you get Morrowind for free anyway. Much of Morrowind’s content, including the zone and the Warden class, will move to the cash shop when Summerset launches on May 21st. Do note that means you can buy and play the Warden without paying for the entirety of Morrowind (or vice versa). PvP battlegrounds, however, will be granted to everyone for free, whether you … [Read more...] about Elder Scrolls Online is opening up PvP battlegrounds to everyone, whether you’ve bought Morrowind or not
Elder Scrolls Online is turning four years old and developers are ready to light the birthday candles. Starting April 4th and running through April 16th, players can take the Ache for Cake quests to get the "three-tiered Anniversary Jubilee Cake" to add to their mementos collections. But it's not just any cake: Players who place it in front of themselves will receive a 100% XP bonus that stacks with others for two hours. The event will also see players receive presents in the form of Anniversary crates simply for completing Daily or Weekly quests. This is, by the way, alongside the normal rewards for doing the same. "hese reward boxes contain crafting materials (ore, ingredients, runes, etc.) and a single rare crafting item (Nirncrux, style items, motif pages, etc.)." To understand which quests are eligible, the Adventurer's Almanac, 2nd Edition has been added. "The book contains everything you need to know about the available weekly and daily quests, including their location, activity … [Read more...] about It’s Time to Light the Candles in Celebration of ESO’s 4th Birthday!
