WP-content folder and Old database For a new or a small website, this process can easily be done by using a free FTP client like FileZilla or Cyberduck. But, when you are dealing with a large site or migrating your website to a new hosting,it’s a good idea to use ssh/sFTP to transfer files from one server to another. In my case, I was transferring Wp-Content folder of ShoutMeLoud from private VPS to WPEngine. My WP-content folder was around 2GB, and manually transferring folder is time-consuming. So, I used SSH and sFTP command, to transfer files quickly. Do remember, WPEngine doesn’t give SSH access, so I need to ask their support team to decompress the compressed folder. Also, if you are on shared hosting like Bluehost, you can always enable SSH access, by login into your cPanel. Here is a video, showing the process of enabling SSH on Bluehost (cPanel hosting). Before the migration, I compressed the WP-content folder into single file, as this will make the transfer … [Read more...] about How to Copy Files from One Server to Another using SSH Command

5 Best Websites To Learn Coding For Free
The days are long gone when only students who enrolled in college with a major in computer science, mastered the art of programming. Those were the days when apart from a college degree, kids used to have a private tutor for mastering the techniques and had an added advantage over their peers, apart from self gratification. For those who might be thinking people like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg were very successful dropouts, the fact is that they had a very strong background in computers and programming since their very young age. Mark even had a private tutor since age 7 and he mastered COBOL and BASIC at a comparatively very young age when others couldn’t manage to assemble a jigsaw puzzle. Bill Gates was building games at an age when others were finding a hard time playing them. The beauty of programming is that you can build whatever you can think of, with a tool set that would guide you through the process. A Computer is basically nothing without a set of … [Read more...] about 5 Best Websites To Learn Coding For Free

E3 2018: En Masse on TERA’s lootboxes, console port, PvE vs. PvP, and the June 26 Gunner class launch
Play TERA for freeIt’s E3 2018, and you know what that means: covering hot new mobile games of IPs you wanted for PC/console! No? Oh, well, that’s probably for the best, as En Masse Senior Product Manager Matt Denomme told me that there are “no specific plans” to bring TERA M to the west. However, Denomme did do a lot of work with the console port, so during our E3 meetup, we talked about TERA‘s six years of life, lootboxes, the vanarch system (RIP), and more. Console awareness Denomme admits that TERA’s console launch was a lot of work. There’s some relief that the game’s been out in the wild, but the team knows there are some issues and nasty bugs to tackle, like Velika City on Xbox not running well. The update that’s bringing the Gunner launch should have a lot of those bug fixes and optimizations. Denomme couldn’t tell me the specific date for that update during our discussion, but we’ve since … [Read more...] about E3 2018: En Masse on TERA’s lootboxes, console port, PvE vs. PvP, and the June 26 Gunner class launch
The Soapbox: The western port of Bless Online feels like a curse
To say that the development of Neowiz’s high-fantasy MMO Bless has been somewhat beleaguered would be an understatement. Since the Korean import’s Western release was announced in 2011, it has weathered numerous delays; the loss of its would-be publisher, Aeria Games, which dropped out of the project in 2017 citing concerns about “quality standards”, and an ambitious “rebuild project” wherein Neowiz announced a massive overhaul of the game’s core systems and even considered “[abandoning] the current structure and [making] it from scratch.” Despite these obstacles, however, Bless made its Stateside debut last month when it hit Steam as an Early Access title. Its launch, however, has been every bit as tumultuous as its development, if not more so: Alongside the standard slew of post-launch hiccups that tend to plague any major MMO release, such as login queues and server outages, Bless had to contend with constant balance issues, … [Read more...] about The Soapbox: The western port of Bless Online feels like a curse
