Today starts the new solo adventure in Hearthstone – the thrilling and challenging Monster Hunts! Highly replayable, players choose from one of four Heroes created especially for this mode: Tracker, Cannoneer, Houndmaster, and Time-Tinker, each with their own unique boss. Build a powerful deck as you progress through increasingly difficult foes, and once you complete a Hunt with each of these four, you can use their combined might to face Hagatha the Witch in a final epic showdown. Success nets you the Monster Hunt card back. Here’s a bit of info on each Hero: The Tracker: Tess Greymane, daughter of Genn Greymane, is an elite—and well-equipped—rogue who excels at tracking down her enemies and using their own tricks against them. Her Hero Power, “Scavenge,” allows her to Discover a spell played earlier in the game and add it to her hand. The Cannoneer: Darius Crowley is a fierce warrior and capable military commander who protected the … [Read more...] about Brave a New Solo Adventure in Hearthstone’s Monster Hunts Today

This morning I am really struggling to boot my mind into something even vaguely functional. I had a weird night, and with it came an extremely odd dream. Basically I was back in High School and in some kind of engineering competition, where we had to do something interesting with an old broken phone. I was on a team of three, and as the dream is already fading… I forget who exactly was on my team. I do however remember that we went to a bunch of flea markets, found this 60s area payphone and with the assistance of an arduino made it work so it would be able to receive text messages. The text message had a special kind of ring, and when you picked up… Microsoft SAM voice would read back the text. I am pretty sure we won the competition, but at this point that is fading from my mind as well. School Daze Granted I don’t really know how to do any of the things I just described… but it worked well in the dream. I blame the … [Read more...] about Thundercats Ho!
Play EVE Online for freeEVE Online‘s new Into The Abyss expansion launched less than two weeks ago and I’m bloody obsessed with it! Players have had great success running the first three tiers of the new Abyssal Deadspace sites in tech 2 fitted Heavy Assault Cruisers and there are some spectacular fits out there for dealing the tier four and five sites already. My ship of choice for the Abyss is the Gila, a pirate faction cruiser with a great passive shield tank and a huge 500% bonus to drone hitpoints and damage, and which I’ve used successfully to reliably tackle tier four and five sites. Abyssal deadspace fits are complicated by the fact that four of the filament types have resistance penalties that apply to both your ship and the NPCs inside the site, which has implications for both your tank and the damage types you should use. But how do the resistance penalties actually work, and under what circumstances is it beneficial to switch damage types? I performed a … [Read more...] about EVE Evolved: The expert Gila’s guide to Abyssal Deadspace in EVE Online
Since I did this last week I thought I would continue with it for at least another week because Xur brought something I had been wanting. This time around since the weekly flashpoint is Titan, Xur is located on the section of the planet called “The Rig”. To get here you will have to cross some areas of the map that have lots of mobs on them, but thankfully none of them seem to be willing to follow you into the actual room he is located in. Previously in Destiny 1 Xur arrived Friday morning and left Saturday at Midnight PST. This time around that does not seem to be the case because he was up on Nessus until the reset happened Tuesday morning. I am not sure if this was intentional or some sort of a bug, but regardless I would suggest checking him out today or tomorrow just to make sure. This time around he has brought the Wardcliff Coil or for those of us that played Destiny 1 and followed the dataminers… the Dubious Volley. … [Read more...] about Xur Week Two: 9/22/17
A Cursed Bread Maker Last night we recorded our thirteenth episode of AggroChat. In various cultures the number thirteen can be either a positive or a negative, and going into the show I was not quite certain how that would shake out. Apparently for us however, thirteen is a very unlucky number. Last week Ash, Kodra and Tam were off hanging out together, and one of the activities was to build Kodra a brand new machine. All of this time we thought his intermittent problems were related to running on six year old hardware. Apparently whatever demons infested his previous machine have jumped ship and are now residing in the new one. We had trouble keeping him online and when he was online he seemed to have issues broadcasting. All of that aside I think we had a pretty good show last night. We talked about a hole bunch of topics including Tomb Raider and the fact that I maybe just maybe finally enjoy narrative gaming experiences. We also talk … [Read more...] about Dragon Commander: Divinity
