If you’re a Belgian gamer, you should probably take a peek at your Guild Wars 2 account. Multiple Redditors and forumgoers from the country have been reporting that they are no longer able to buy gems, the game’s cash shop currency; in fact, several are suggesting they aren’t able to buy the game at all right now. Here’s Redditor TheSidFlare (via PCGN) laying out the problem: “Me and many others (all from Belgium) have been experiencing difficulty with the Gem Store. This has been discovered since September 19th. The top blue button ‘Buy Gems’ shows a red error message, saying ‘Unfortunately an error has occurred. Please try again later!’. Being annoyed with not being able to buy any gems, I’ve been searching on what could have caused this. It seems Belgium has been removed from the billing country list. Using a VPN and making it look like you’re connected from another country, will give you the normal payment options. … [Read more...] about Guild Wars 2: Belgian players report gem-buying block, plus more on the bubble tea bans

With Guild Wars 2’s update this week, some quality of life changes has been made to the game’s harvesting and crafting. Unlimited use tools now have upgrade slots, which players can attach glyphs to. See below for the list of stats: Glyph of the Tailor: Gain a 33% chance to receive bonus cloth scraps. Glyph of the Leatherworker: Gain a 33% chance to receive bonus leather scraps. Glyph of Industry: Gathering completes 50% faster. Glyph of Flight: Increases movement speed for 5 seconds after gathering completes. The game is offering all players (Non F2P) a free glyph from the in-game store to use, but assuming you have more than one unlimited tool, you’ll need to get the rest. So where do they drop from? Something To Gamble On The answer lies within the Black Lion Chests, or the game’s RNG lockbox. Glyphs … [Read more...] about Guild Wars 2: Do Players Really Need Stats On Their Harvesting Tools?

Get Guild Wars 2 Path of FireA couple of weeks ago, a nasty patch bug borked up harvesting tools in Guild Wars 2. Hardest hit were the endless-use versions that run a thousand gemmies in the cash shop. Obviously, ArenaNet fixed all that. Today’s patch goes a step further toward making the tools much cooler by adding them to the wardrobe, meaning all your toons can spew lava and toot fireflies while hacking away at rocks. “You can change their appearance with transmutation charges the same way you do your armor, weapons, and backpacks: open the Wardrobe in your Hero panel, click on an equipped tool, and select a skin you’ve unlocked. The preview will display each tool’s on-use effect. You can use gathering tool skins across your entire account, and they can be applied to limited-use tools as well as unlimited tools.” Gatherers will also want to take advantage of the brand-new glyph system, which basically allows you to slot upgrades (faster harvesting, more … [Read more...] about Guild Wars 2 has completely overhauled gathering tools with glyph upgrades and wardrobe implementation

This is in an instanced area where switching is not possible yet. Play through it first and defeat the boss at the end. If you bought Guild Wars 2, then you’re ready to switch to whatever area you would like to go once you are out of the tutorial. If you are a free player, then your character needs to hit level 10 before you can switch. Lion’s Arch is blocked for you until level 35. All races’ cities are connected with each other through asura portals in Lion’s Arch. So if you want to get to another starter area, you need to go to Lion’s Arch first. If you are low level, you need to travel through your race’s capital: Rata Sum for Asura, The Grove for Sylvari, Divinity’s Reach for Humans, Black Citadel for Charr and Hoelbrak … [Read more...] about How to switch between the starter areas in Guild Wars 2
