Blogging often appears to be really fun. But that’s not always true. Bloggers tend to indulge in so many online activities that they hardly get time to take rest. Nowadays, mobile phones and tablets keep us all hooked into the internet, and we never get a chance to enjoy the buffer zone between physical and digital life. Productivity is not about working a lot; it’s about working efficiently. If you are one of those bloggers (like me) who loves blogging & staying ahead of the game by learning, practicing, researching, and writing, I’m sure you’ve experienced burnout. For me, I would sometimes become so unmotivated that I would stay in bed for several days. It took me some time to realize what I was doing wrong, and after making some necessary changes, blogging became more fun and more fulfilling. Bloggers usually forget the other work in their lives: Social activities Boyfriends/girlfriends/spouses Spending time outside (i.e. away from a computer) These … [Read more...] about 6 Simple And Effective Ways To Get Rid Of Blogging Stress

The more you complain about your problems, the more problems you will have to complain about. -… Click To Tweet As we were landing into the middle of another year, like everybody else, I did some retrospection and re-evaluated my last year's journey. I thought about how it'd be the perfect time to start making the changes I wanted to make a few weeks ago/last month/last year. When I brooded about one habit which I wanted to improve upon and change, the first thing that came into my mind was to stop complaining. As mindful as I strive to be with my words, I always end up complaining. Whether it's the weather, my job, clothes, relationships, worldly situations, traffic, high prices, etc. (The list goes on…) Have you ever thought about the amount of time you spend complaining in a day? The thing is, we have made ourselves so miserable that we end up finding fault and blaming others for our current situation. Think about … [Read more...] about Why Complaining Is Making You Miserable & How To Fix It
This morning I sit here typing as a truly insane torrent of rain pours down on our house. Apparently over night this massive storm system has blown in, and the deluge we are experiencing is the end result. Luckily the “T” word has not been mentioned at all, just lots of rain and the potential for flash flooding. Still instinctually I turned to channel 6 or on digital cable… 706 and have been watching it as I get ready this morning. This is a reaction to weather that is just engrained in Oklahomans from a little age… and even though I rarely if ever watch the evening news… when weather happens I am glued to it. Unplanned Adventure Yesterday I was just feeling absolutely horrible, and while I made it into work… by noon I was wishing I had not. I was suffering from what I tend to term “giblet” problems… everything just felt all wrong. So I took a half sick day, and went home after I got out of … [Read more...] about Making Horrible Choices
Guess who’s back. I gave Star Wars: The Old Republic a lot of grief over the course of 2018 for the fact that its server merges outright demolished the game’s RP servers. This may be understandable, all things considered, but it still had a pretty huge effect upon the game’s RP community, and while you could argue it was more a reflection of the state of the game than it was an active snub, it still wound up being one. But people who have paid attention to my writings over the years know that I’ve long advocated Final Fantasy XIV as a great place to roleplay, despite the fact that the game has never had official roleplaying servers. (It does have two unofficial servers that everyone is well aware of, though.) And so now that I’m bringing this back, it seems like this is a great time to start by establishing a foundation. What makes a game good for roleplaying in the first place? A robust setup for character expression It’s really … [Read more...] about Storyboard: What makes an MMORPG a good home for roleplaying?
Casablanca: Humphrey Bogart is exceptionally dead and thus can no longer star in this movie, which means that it would no longer have its star and thus could not be produced today. Blazing Saddles: This film could only be captured on a unique sort of film coated in a sheen made by the ground-up carapace of a rare species of beetle. Unfortunately, once the beetles found out their carapaces were being ground up for use as a film coating, they stopped returning any calls and thus are no longer available. The Saga of Curly, The Curling Puck Or Whatever That Had A Magical Journey: The demise of the Canadian curling fan’s children as a market after 1985 meant that Disney quickly abandoned this script. Instead, they workshopped a title about a different sort of athletic accessory, a film which eventually became Big Hero 6. Total Recall: A film by this title already exists and it’s fine, why would you make another one? Final Fantasy XI: The Movie: All of the master copies of the … [Read more...] about WRUP: Movies you could not make today edition
