“When your home looks important, you are important!” One of Fallout 76’s key features for its persistent world is player housing — or what Bethesda is calling C.A.M.P. (Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform). Players will scavenge the wasteland for materials to use in the construction of their house, which in turn will provide shelter, food, and crafting stations. The best part about C.A.M.P.s is that they can be moved from one place to the next, especially if the first place has come under nuclear attack. The studio put together an entertaining overview of this system that should appeal to cartoon fans. Educate yourself with the instructional video below! I saw a post on MMORPG.com about the potential correlation between content updates and increased earnings for ArenaNet and Guild Wars 2 which got me thinking about my gaming behaviour related to their content updates. In general, I would say that the less new content they release, the less money I spend in Guild Wars 2. I remember giving them at least 5 € a month (remember: I try not to spend more money on online games than I would on a monthly sub), but since the expansion has been released, I did not give them any additional money anymore. I only spent some gold to trade for gems. However, I actually did not want to focus on how much money I spend on this game. I would just say that my spending behaviour is related to the amount of time I give to one specific game over others more than how much content a game actually releases, although those two factors are related, of course! When I looked at the charts of that post, I remembered what Guild Wars 2 was like within the first … [Read more...] about Guild Wars 2: The upside of having a “content drought”
This is the full version of entries that have been published in the last week! I just thought it might be nicer to have everything in one huge entry instead of in separate ones (either way: You can find all entries in the category labelled “rift vs. lotro vs. wow” on the right). The topic I wrote some time ago about “Rift vs. LotRO” is still getting readers almost every day. Unfortunately, it is probably not the kind of topic they were looking for. So, since I’ve played both games (at least for a little while), I thought I would make an elaborate posting about those games. I’m also going to throw in World of Warcraft because, apart from playing it as well, the big majority of MMO gamers have played the game or know something about the game, at least. :) (After starting to write this, I realised how long this entry would be in the end and decided to split it into different topics to be posted separately. So expect a posting every day for the next few … [Read more...] about Rift vs. LotRO vs. World of Warcraft – a closer look at all three MMOs (all entries in one)
