I’ve never been a console-first kind of gamer, so I’ve never felt a great pull to invest heavily in consoles, even when more major MMORPGs began setting up shop there. I dabbled a bit with things like Free Realms and DC Universe Online on my PS3 back before the PS4 was king, but I much preferred PC. And now that I have a Switch, well, there aren’t that many MMOs or online titles on it yet anyway, but even for games like Warframe and Diablo III, I’d just rather stick with my trusty keyboard and mouse and comfy chair. But all that said, there are some MMOs I think would be suited to console, so much that I’m surprised they never got there. For example, why the heck is Guild Wars 2 not on console? Is splitgate coming to console
One of Trove’s best features since releasing on console years ago, in my estimation anyway, was that its PC and console updates were always pushed out in close proximity to each other, so nobody felt like the red-headed stepchild. As it turns out, the console launch has been pushed all the way back to February 5th. But it is coming. As we’ve previously noted, the update adds a new biome with three different maps based on it (Cerise Sandsea, Hollow Dunes, and Weathered Wasteland), plus two additional stats (light and dark, though the only ones players will see is light), new five-star dungeons, crystal rarity on gear, and a pair of new dragons. And players will discover some significant changes to … [Read more...] about Trove’s Crystal Combat update is finally coming to console in February
