Today marks the launch date of the latest Guild Wars 2 Living World Episode: A Bug in the System. In this episode, the Commander continues his search to find the source of and shut down the attacks on Tyria by Palawa Joko’s minions. Arenanet today released the latest episode in the Guild Wars 2 living story. Dubbed Long Live the Lich, this episode pits players against current running villain, Palawa Joko, as he continues his efforts to take over the world with the help of a deadly scarab plague. Episode three introduces a new mount, the Roller Beetle, the warhorn legendary weapon, Domain of Kourna map, and a new fractal dungeon. NCSoft announced today that the Season 4 Episode 5 update for Guild Wars 2 will be launching on January 8, 2019. The episode is named 'All or Nothing' and includes a new fractal, a new map, a new gear set, and more. Along with the announcement comes a brand new trailer for the update which highlights the coming changes. As with previous Guild Wars 2 updates, everything including in Episode 5 is free for everyone who currently owns the Path of Fire expansion. The five-week long program starts today and is designed to help returning players catch up to the latest season of Living World. “If you haven’t visited Tyria for a while, welcome back! It can be overwhelming to start catching up, or to know what you’ve missed—so to help you get up to speed on Living World Season 4, we’ll have livestreams, guides, and free or discounted items in the Gem Store, focusing on one episode per week. And we’re starting today!” To kick things off, Daybreak, the first episode of Living World Season 4 which launched in November 2017 can now be unlocked for free in the Gem Store.
