This weekend was a weird mix of leveling characters and slowly incrementing that light level up there. Saturday I spent most of my time working on the Warlock and I managed to get the light level up to 282, then I turned around Sunday and caught my titan main up and can now hit 283 if I swap a bunch of gear around. I potentially should have taken a new screenshot this morning, but largely I took this one to show off the gear that I finally stabilized with, or at least enough to feel like I could use some shaders to blend everything together. I’ve been using the Doom Fang Pauldrons as my exotic armor piece because of the benefits it gives to Sentinel. The shield throw is rather potent and giving me an ability to do more than one per super is something I can seriously get behind. The rest is a blend of Wild Wood armor and Kerak Type 2, which gives me the sort of heavily armored but also a bit piecemeal look that I was going for that the Doom Fang … [Read more...] about Destiny 2: Favorite Weapons So Far

Destiny Child
This was held at: Anime Matsuri 2018, Houston,TX at the George R. Brown Convention Center. In his interview at Matsuri, Hyung-tae Kim confirmed that the English version will be released this year, way earlier than they expected. Before summer (USA) we Will have English website, Facebook, Twitter and More info about the game and release date. @Source Destiny Child - Korean server already out for 1.5 year and Japanese server out last year. Possible difference between Korean and English server - 1. Censorship 2. Rewards can be changed (Depend on publisher) 3. The Dawning Arrives
As I assumed yesterday, the Dawning was in fact waiting on me when I got home from work and logged into Destiny 2. For the uninitiated The Dawning is effectively the Destiny universe Christmas event, covering the tail end of December and the beginning of the new year. It has meant a lot of different things, including really awesome sparrow racing in the past. Unfortunately that event did not make a return, but instead we get a fun mini game that asks us to go out into the world and do various things. It also signals getting bonus seasonal bright engrams each time you level up, so doubling the opportunity for bright dust and related rewards. Unlike past years however this feels way more rooted in game activities and not just another attempt to pry money from us in the cash shop. The event signals the return of Eva Levante to the Tower, who for those of us that date back to Destiny 1 will remember was the shader and emblem vendor. Weirdly in Destiny 1 … [Read more...] about The Dawning Arrives
Guild Wars 2: A FAQ for new players
You may already know the first version of this FAQ. I decided to rewrite it, update it and put newer screenshots in. So here is the new version. A very special thank you goes to Tasha Darke for reading through it all. I was hoping for a few bits of corrected grammar but she gave me very valuable feedback on top of that! This FAQ is mostly for those who have just recently heard of Guild Wars 2 and now want to know more. If you have been following the game for years or even just months, if you have pre-purchased the game and if you have already played it, you are welcome to read it as well, but you will find a lot of information that you already know. Since the game is still in development a lot of things are subject to change (yes, believe it or not, ArenaNet is handling the Beta Weekend Events like a real beta and is still changing things around). Also, new information comes out every now and then which might outdate what you can read here. If you notice any of that – or just … [Read more...] about Guild Wars 2: A FAQ for new players
Anthem Spreadsheet Launch
Anthem “Launched” on Friday and I spent my weekend having a blast playing the game for real. However unfortunately the bulk of the people who pre-ordered the game will not be able to experience the game until this coming Friday the 22nd. This is what I would call a spreadsheet launch, and I talked a bit about it on Friday because if you purchased a month of either the $5 or $15 flavor of EA Access then you were able to play this weekend. The $5 price point gave you 10 hours of gameplay… and then I was a sucker and went with the $15 dollar double special secret access that just gave me the game one week early. At this point according to Origin I have spent 17 hours playing, and the majority of why I went with that version over the $5 variant is it allows me to just not care about how much time I happened to be spending. The challenge this morning is how do I condense the feelings I am having about the game into something resembling a proper blog … [Read more...] about Anthem Spreadsheet Launch
