Think Of All The New Companions Dragon Age’s companion system and how they play a part in your character’s growth in the story campaign is such an important aspect of the franchise. Without your cast of companion characters, it just wouldn’t be the same. We’ve had some amazing personalities introduced with each installment. Origins gave us some pretty heavy hitters like Leliana and Morrigan. Dragon Age: II introduced the well-loved Varric and Cassandra. Inquisition’s Iron Bull, Solas and Sara are all equally interesting, but more importantly was written in a way that added much more emotional depth to the story due to some fantastic twists. How can BioWare outdo themselves in the next installment? … [Read more...] about Top 5 Reasons Why We Need A New Dragon Age In 2019

Dear BioWare: Gives Us The Next Dragon Age Before It’s Too Late
Remember when BioWare teased a little trailer at the Game Awards in December last year? That almost seemed like a lifetime ago. We got a glimpse of Solas – the much misunderstood hero turn villain in the series’s last installment Dragon Age: Inquisition. Well that was way back in 2014, and now five years on, it’s beginning to feel like a drag. Fans and players want to know where the story goes, and because the narrative has been so good in the trilogy so far (gameplay not so much), it’s only inevitable that folks would be craving for more. Furthermore, developers BioWare are not having a good 2019. Anthem has made the news for all the wrong reasons, and one might suspect that the studio is buckling under that negativity. So please BioWare, here’s why we need the next Dragon Age before it’s too late. Or, give it to another studio worthy of completing the saga. … [Read more...] about Dear BioWare: Gives Us The Next Dragon Age Before It’s Too Late
Restarting Inquisition
Faffing the Hinterlands In spite of everything my friends have told me… I faffed about heavily in the Hinterlands. When planted down there with a blazing inquisition eyeball icon showing me the way I needed to go… I chose to go the opposite direction. This has always served me well in Elder Scrolls games and overall I think it was the right choice for me this time as well. It gave me time to get used to combat and explore the world a bit before being locked into more serious dialog again. I am very much a man of action, and the introduction to all games generally makes me deeply unhappy. I keep saying to myself “why won’t it just let me play the game!”. Dragon Age Inquisition was a fairly action oriented introduction, but still there were moments where I was more than ready to move past the talking about things phase. So I puttered around exploring things, picking up quests and figuring things out … [Read more...] about Restarting Inquisition
Biggest New Game Announcements 2019 And Beyond
Atlas MMO Another big reveal came from Studio Wildcard, the creators of the massively popular survival MMO ARK:Survival Evolved. Apparently, expansions and DLCs weren’t enough to keep them busy, so they’ve gone ahead and announced Atlas. Atlas is a brand new open world sandbox survival game like ARK, but twelve hundred times bigger. Even better, forget the dinosaurs – it’s pirate themed and features customizable ships, islands and features the same massive battles and building that we love about these games. Atlas releases on Steam Early Access on December 13th. … [Read more...] about Biggest New Game Announcements 2019 And Beyond
Fantasy is an exercise bicycle for the mind
Fantasy RPGs are like buses, you wait two and a half years then three turn up at the same time, though technically one has been around for a year already but just dropped its subscription fee, and another one came out last year but I still haven’t finished it, and none of them are replacements for train services due to ongoing engineering works enhancing passenger accessibility, we apologise for the inconvenience. With hindsight the entire Fantasy RPG/bus comparison was fundamentally flawed from the start, but there seems to be a vacancy for a presenter on Top Gear so I’m trying to work in more automotive content, just go with it. … [Read more...] about Fantasy is an exercise bicycle for the mind
