Netmarble's Blade & Soul Revolution is looking pretty good from the latest floor demos shown at G-Star 2017. While I'm not physically at the event myself, Netmarble is also streaming the event and I recorded some gameplay from there. It looks like it has the same quest system as Lineage 2 Revolution with quest helper, auto-run, and auto-combat. As for the skills, the game uses a combo chain system where you can keep pressing the same skill to chain combo after another. The 30vs30 event was interesting to watch. It was a very close battle with an unexpected turnout near the end! Anyway, I wasn't happy with the results. It seems like the top 10 players on both sides were mostly Force Masters... Netmarble needs to needs to balance this out! I like how the game is full 3D and not top-down view. Noticed a lot of load times, graphics looked decent. Feels and looked like they weren't running on max or using Unreal Engine 4's full power. Blade & Soul Revolution currently has four … [Read more...] about STEPARU News, Reviews, Previews & Information for Foreign Games Blade & Soul Revolution Actual Gameplay Footage From G-Star 2017

So I have some gaudy news that might help loosen up the sphincters of anyone disappointed with the current look of MMORPGs on the horizon. Project TL, which I’ve actually just learned stands for “The Lineage”, was announced late 2017. No real information was known about the game at the time other than that it was an MMORPG set within the Lineage franchise. Now, NCSoft have taken the time to make some changes to the game since its original iteration – to better suit the current market. Project TL will change that however, instead, offering the basic, traditional single-character system that Lineage Eternal was lacking. It will also be created using the Unreal Engine 4 – so you can imagine how it’s going to look. NCSoft revealed that Project TL is actually running very well in terms of development and further went on to reveal their intent to conduct closed beta testing for Project TL during the second half of 2018. NCSoft also went on to point out … [Read more...] about Lineage Eternal / Project TL Closed Beta 2018 Confirmed!
Despite having several installed on my phone, I don’t really play many mobile games. It’s less that I don’t enjoy them (I do) and more that I forget about them. However, with the recent PVP additions to Lineage 2: Revolution, I felt maybe it was time for me to come back and give it a whirl again. I did our early access review, and despite feeling like players can buy their way into good gear, at least at the start, I still very much enjoyed this game. The aesthetic is sharp, the character classes are fun, and there was an absolute wealth of content, even in the early days of the game. Now we have a new update, that brought a 200-player PVP mode, Castle Siege. In it, guilds team up to do battle against whoever happens to control the castle and brought with it a Castle Siege Festival. It offers EXP boosts for all characters, which makes it a terrific time to start playing. Though Castle Siege is presently in its pre-season (so rewards from it are not available … [Read more...] about Let’s Talk: A Return to Lineage 2: Revolution
