Guild Wars 2: Episode 4 Preview
Late last week I was treated to a preview of the newest living story episode and the features coming along with it, including Sun’s Refuge and the new legendary weapon Xiuquatl. So, let’s take a deep dive into these aspects and get a taste of what’s waiting for you in this new update. Also, for the story stuff later in this article I have stayed away from revealing any major story spoilers for this episode, so as long as you are caught up on the current season you should be safe from spoilers. advertisement Sun’s RefugeFor Sun’s Refuge ArenaNet has taken lessons from current home instances (which are located in the main city for your character’s race) and guild halls to meld these distinct systems into something which can grow with our characters. The base of the instance is similar to guild halls in that it’s pretty huge and sprawling and there are various upgrades which can be unlocked and will change how the instance looks the … [Read more...] about Guild Wars 2: Episode 4 Preview

Guild Wars 2 Game Director Announces Slight Delay In The Next Episode Of The Living World
Guild Wars 2 has been doing a great job releasing episode after episode for four seasons of the Living World. Unfortunately, Episode 3 of the Living World Season 4 will be slightly delayed according to a recent forum post by game director Mike Zadorojny. “The Living World Team currently is hard at work preparing Episode 3 of Living World Season 4. We’re excited about how it’s shaping up, but wanted to give you a heads up that the release date will be a little outside our normal release cadence.” According to Zadorojny, the slight delay will allow them to maintain the quality of each episode. “With the amount of gameplay and breadth of content in Living World, we noticed that we had an opportunity to make some adjustments to how we approach developing each episode that will help us hit our quality standards more consistently,” says the game director. “This logistical change has had some short-term “cost” in time, but will provide … [Read more...] about Guild Wars 2 Game Director Announces Slight Delay In The Next Episode Of The Living World
The next episode of Guild Wars 2’s living world season has apparently been delayed
Get Guild Wars 2 Path of FireYou might have noticed it’s Tuesday, and there’s been no big trailer drop for the next Guild Wars 2 living world episode. That’s behind schedule if expected, given datamining, but ArenaNet has now acknowledged the delay all the same. “The Living World Team currently is hard at work preparing Episode 3 of Living World Season 4,” ArenaNet’s Mike Zadorojny writes through the community team on the official forums. “We’re excited about how it’s shaping up, but wanted to give you a heads up that the release date will be a little outside our normal release cadence.” If that looks like a fancy way of saying the episode is late, welp, have a gold star. But there’s a reason: “Our key focus while creating the Living World experience is the quality bar we’ve set for ourselves for each episode. With the amount of gameplay and breadth of content in Living World, we noticed that we had an … [Read more...] about The next episode of Guild Wars 2’s living world season has apparently been delayed
