“The line between light and darkness is so very thin….” - Uldren SovLike this commentary from Destiny 2: Forsaken’s Mr. “Most-Likely-to-Take-a-series-of-Bullets-From-Vengeful-Guardians,” it is a delicately thin line that the Destiny franchise rides. At its heart, Destiny is a first person shooter, yet it has flirted with MMO elements for years. So much so that its community has been torn over what to call it. With the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, Bungie begins to define the relationship. This is our review of Destiny 2: Forsaken. advertisement Be warned, this review will contain some story spoilers. I will try to keep them to a minimum. The Story So Far…Many in the Destiny community have likened Forsaken to Destiny’s expansion, The Taken King, and they wouldn’t be wrong. Forsaken and The Taken King not only marked significant improvements to in-game features such as new super abilities, UI Updates, new regions and … [Read more...] about Our Destiny 2: Forsaken Review

Destiny 2: Thoughts after Beating Story
There have been many points during my leveling process where I looked pretty damned cool. However in my current state I look a bit like a rejected He-Man toy from the 80s. The important thing however is that I am sitting at 265 power… which is effectively the first soft cap you can hit… or more or less means you are “done with blues”. Now I will have to rely on a much smaller list of items that I can get potential upgrades from, but even then… it does feel like I am stalled out. The next plateau is 280, which unlocks the Nightfall and some of the advanced features of the Gunsmith, and I might have to wait until the weekly reset to be able to get there. At this point by my estimations I have spent over 30 hours in game, but the PS4 doesn’t really have a proper way of tracking this time spent. Unfortunately Destiny Tracker seems to have some issues with the API currently and is only showing the most … [Read more...] about Destiny 2: Thoughts after Beating Story
Destiny 2 rings in the holidays with the Dawning event
After all the trials and tragedies that have befallen them over the course of Forsaken, Destiny 2’s Guardians could use a bit of holiday cheer. Thankfully, the long-missing Eva Levante has returned, bringing with her the seasonal festivities of the Dawning as well as a slew of holiday treats that she hopes will “help bring the spirit of togetherness back to the Tower.” For the duration of the event, which runs until January 1st, 2019, Destiny 2 players can help Eva bake a veritable smorgasbord of seasonal confections by “defeating enemies and completing various activities” to gather ingredients for “tasty treats like Gjallardoodles or Chocolate Ship cookies.” Once the treats are made, players will be able to distribute the baked goods as gifts to their various friends and allies throughout the solar system, who will in turn reward them with presents such as enhancement cores, mods, legendary gear, and the new Avalanche heavy machine gun. In … [Read more...] about Destiny 2 rings in the holidays with the Dawning event
