Some brand-new level-50 content is coming to Project Gorgon in the form of War Caches, a new feature coming in the game’s next update. The premise goes like this: The Ilmari desert was once the site of a massive war in which the Crone Hegemony built massive bunkers that are now buried deep beneath the desert sands, though the regional windstorms occasionally unearth them. Sir Johnson in Amulna is looking for adventurers to venture into these temporarily accessible bunkers in search of “a special metal that was often left behind.” As far as the mechanics of the system are concerned, players will accept War Cache quests from Sir Johnson, who will provide them with a treasure map that leads to the entrance of one of these bunkers, which are described as “mini-dungeons” that are designed to take about 15 minutes to complete, and successfully completing War Cache quests will reward players with loot as well as a voucher that can be redeemed for equipment, which … [Read more...] about Project Gorgon previews its new War Cache dungeon feature in latest developer blog
Next week is a big deal for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth with the forthcoming release of patch 8.1.5. Generally, “half patches”, those smaller updates that arrive between major content patches, aren’t a big deal, but 8.1.5 is a bit different. It brings a number of new features to the game and finally sees the release of the Kul Tiran Humans and Zandalari Troll Allied Races, something players have been looking forward to since the expansion’s announcement.Let’s take a look at some of the most interesting big and small additions coming to WoW when 8.1.5 launches on March 12th. advertisement Zandalari Trolls & Kul Tiran Human Allied RacesThe centerpiece of the patch is, of course, the arrival of both the Kul Tirans for Alliance and the Zandalari for the Horde. This was a much-touted component of the Battle for Azeroth expansion and one that many hoped would be present when BfA launched. Digital Extremes has an action-packed 2019 in store for Warframe players, with an increased focus on “on-going shorter turn-around content” rather than slower, large content updates. Some of the additions on both the near and far horizon include a trio of new warframes (two of which are named the Hildryn and the Wisp), the next cinematic quest titled New War, a tile remaster of Gas City, a new type of daily and weekly challenges, and the Planes of Duviri, which will bring a new area and faction to the game this fall. A “Melee 3.0” revamp is in the works, as is a better new player experience, trading improvements, and a closer look at difficulty options. The studio has also started to promote this year’s TonnoCon, which is taking place on July 6th in London, Ontario. … [Read more...] about Warframe’s 2019 roadmap includes three new suits, cinematic quest, and Melee 3.0
While MapleStory 2 may have stolen most of the spotlight recently, MapleStory continues to get a lot of love from Nexon. The game's Black Mage update is launching in pieces between now and the end of December, 2018 which will culminate with a battle with the Black Mage, MapleStory's long running villain. The game already introduced the Maple Alliance earlier this month, which introduced new war missions for players which rewarded them with special skills and items. The game is also hosting a special Tera Burning event between now and January 22, 2019 which will allow players to reach level 200 3x faster. A more permanent change was a reduction in XP required to reach level 200 as well as tweaks to the XP curve between level 200 and 220 which will also result in faster leveling. While leveling has definitely gotten easier, reaching level 250 is still quite an accomplishment. New 5th job skills are coming to the game in December for all job categories. New players who reach their 5th … [Read more...] about MapleStory’s Black Mage Update Speeds up Leveling, Adds New 5th Job Skills, & More
Blizzard has rolled out a new World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth build that is paving the way for the future addition of War Mode, the open world "toggle-able" PvP experience coming with the expansion. Game designer 'Phalanx' has posted some brief facts about four different aspects of War Mode, including the brand new Bounty Hunting feature. During War Mode, players will have Honor Talents enabled as they do when entering instanced PvP. Once War Mode is toggled by a player in a capital city, Honor Talents become active and remain so for the entire time the player is flagged for PvP. During PvP combat, gear will be scaled to a roughly equivalent level between combatants. If a player's gear is better than the opponent, they will still have a slight advantage, but a reasonable one. Players will earn Conquest during World PvP, a nice addition to the pool of activities where Conquest can be earned. The more opponents a player kills during War Mode, the more likely they … [Read more...] about New War Mode Details Revealed
