Dauntless is offline for extended maintance until tomorrow, but it’s all for a good cause: the launch of OB 0.7.1. OK, so maybe that patch name needs better branding because it’s actually a hefty update that makes guilds free to create, removes patron boosts, heavily retools progression flow, and adds the mastery system. “This brand-new system delivers a raft of challenges that you can take on to earn Mastery experience, raise your Mastery levels, and unlock a rich assortment of rewards. […] With the introduction of the Mastery system, Weaponmaster, Alchemist, and other reputation tracks will be removed and replaced by Mastery levels. These include Slayer Level, Behemoth Mastery, and Weapon Masteries (Sword Mastery, Hammer Mastery, Chain Blades Mastery, Axe Mastery, War Pike Mastery, and Repeaters Mastery). Each measure of your mastery comes with a new set of rewards specific to that mastery.” There’s also an endless list of balance tweaks, bug … [Read more...] about Dauntless is offline prepping its massive Mastery system patch for tomorrow
Patch 7 1
Ready, set, test! A week after Blizzard unveiled the full offerings for World of Warcraft’s next major content update, the studio rolled the 7.1 GB patch out on the test server to begin its pre-live shakedown. “A few minutes ago, we made the Rise of Azshara PTR available for download and install. This is so that initial testers will be completely ready to log in when the test realms are made public,” a studio posted earlier today. The notes are also up for Patch 8.2, which include some of the big features that we saw last week, such as the improved Heart of Azeroth system, the Mechagon zone, Robodrome arena, mount equipment, new island expeditions, and the Ashran battleground. Other features such as the zone of Nazjatar, heritage armor, additional missions, the big raid, the “megadungeon,” the Stratholme pet battle dungeon, and updates to Brewfest are coming on the test realm at a later date. … [Read more...] about World of Warcraft begins testing Patch 8.2: Rise of Azshara
Next week is a big deal for World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth with the forthcoming release of patch 8.1.5. Generally, “half patches”, those smaller updates that arrive between major content patches, aren’t a big deal, but 8.1.5 is a bit different. It brings a number of new features to the game and finally sees the release of the Kul Tiran Humans and Zandalari Troll Allied Races, something players have been looking forward to since the expansion’s announcement.Let’s take a look at some of the most interesting big and small additions coming to WoW when 8.1.5 launches on March 12th. advertisement Zandalari Trolls & Kul Tiran Human Allied RacesThe centerpiece of the patch is, of course, the arrival of both the Kul Tirans for Alliance and the Zandalari for the Horde. This was a much-touted component of the Battle for Azeroth expansion and one that many hoped would be present when BfA launched. However, given the nature of the way Allied … [Read more...] about What’s New in World of Warcraft 8.1.5?
We all know how hard it is to level in World Of Warcraft especially after patch 7.1.5 rolled out. Blizzard Entertainment is making things just a little bit easier for players when Patch 8.1 goes live. The patch is now available on the public test region and brings with it decreased experience requirements for all levels. According to WowHead, leveling up your characters should be easier with the new patch, especially for lower levels where experience requirements have been dropped by as much as 40%. Don’t worry, high level players can still expect at least a 25% reduction in leveling requirements. There’s no word yet on the exact date that they’ll deploy the patch but we’ll keep you posted. Are you one of the 10M people who’ve dipped into Fortnite’s battle royal mode? Or perhaps one of the 500K who played concurrently this past weekend? Then you’ll want to point your eyeballs at the game’s latest patch. The 1.7.1 update brings battle royale stats, a monster power balance in the Save the World mode, and changes to the progression system for Challenge the Horde game mode. At least if the studio can get the kinks worked out, anyway. My favorite patch note? “Added a few structures near Tomato Town.” Of note, Epic says it’s making good on its promise to upend cheaters, having now implemented the contentious but widespread third-party BattlEye program, even for PvE players. The program is used in multiple games but has been criticized heavily for privacy violations, most recently by the ARK Survival Evolved community. Epic, however, has stated on Reddit that BattlEye was not to blame for the recent spate of false positives in … [Read more...] about Fortnite patches battle royale, adds BattlEye anti-cheat measures, and sues cheaters
