What completely overwhelmed me yesterday was all the well wishes from my internet family. Both my twitter and g+ feeds were blowing up with well wishes all day yesterday, and upon logging into teamspeak that night I got another round. I feel completely bombarded, and I thank all of you for that feeling. It kinda feels like the whole Sally Fields “You like me, You really like me” moment. But amazing friends aside… I find it always interesting to see which bot wishes me a happy birthday first. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991) This game has a weird story, and will always have a special place in my heart. I had some pretty significant sinus surgery, and we picked this game up on the way home from the hospital. Laying in bed playing this game is essentially how I recovered and took my mind off the pain and constant grossness that was having to wear “nasal drip pads” after a sinus surgery. This is now why this game is on this list however. Everything about the game is perfect, it to me will always be the ultimate Zelda game… however not even that is worth putting it on the list for. There's no scripted way to make agreements between players (like courier contracts). It's based on trust. the only exception being NPC trading routes between planets and towns. On Syndesia and Tartaros, those NPCs can be killed. There's a logout timer in the wild, about 1 min or so. You can't circumvent it with alt+F4. If you log out in a safe location like your house or tavern, logging out is immediate. You can create a bunk bed in the wild to log out immediately. Ducks aren't planned. No plans for offline activities. You can't open a tavern on Syndesia as a Demon because they can only stay on syndesia for a limited time. There's no time difference between the 3 planets. You can store spare sets of gear in your home or a guild warehouse. It requires a high level city on Syndesia to unlock Human tech. It's not there from day 1.
