It’s not often I play a mobile game and I say to myself, “Gee, this is not only fair, but it’s fun too,” but here I am in 2019 and pleased with a mobile card game, and it’s from Capcom to boot! Well, it’s partially from Capcom. Capcom and GungHo Online are teaming up to bring forth Teppen, an online mobile card game based on the Capcom properties, and Capcom’s treatment of their properties in the past genuinely had me worried. I just have to look back to the Marvel vs. Capcom series, and look no further. However, not only is this card game reasonable and easy to play, it has been incredibly generous with their packs (at least up to this point in time), so it’s easy to pick up. Teppen hasn’t received a lot of press or acknowledgment that I’ve seen, so let’s talk about it for a bit. What is Teppen? Teppen is a real-time strategy card game, set across a variety of Capcom properties. There aren’t a ton of characters … [Read more...] about Teppen Review – Capcom vs. Capcom Infinite

– Game details announced by Capcom at Tokyo Game Show
First leaked and teased a couple of weeks ago, Capcom today finally revealed the full details for its new game, Project Resistance. Set to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC (Steam), Project Resistance is a new 1 vs 4 asymmetric online survival horror experience set in the world of Resident Evil, though this is not tied to the main games. Players will either unleash their inner evil as a cunning Mastermind, or join the fight as one of the resourceful Survivors trying to escape all obstacles the Mastermind throws at them! Similar to previous 1 vs X survival games, each round will have a fixed allocated time. The win goes to Survivors if they escape before the time runs out, while Mastermind wins if he or she prevents all survivors from escaping within the time limit. The storyline is pretty simple; Mastermind (under Umbrella Corp) kidnaps a bunch of teens for experimenting purposes, collecting data and… Well that is pretty much it. The Mastermind will never face the … [Read more...] about – Game details announced by Capcom at Tokyo Game Show
Monster Hunter: World vs Dauntless – Which Is Better?
Ever wondered in a direct comparison of Monster Hunter: World vs Dauntless, which game comes out top? The monster hunting genre is now being propelled to the spotlight no small thanks to these two games. And at the moment, both are available for play with Dauntless being in open beta on the PC, while MHW has also released its PC port on Steam. Gameplay Dauntless and MHW share a lot in common – both are about hunting monsters in group. What separates the two games? Dauntless’s combat is a strong point, it has weight and feels good when executing attacks and it’s fast paced. You have combos that can be unleashed using your left and right clicks. Holding down TAB will bring up the cheat sheet for attacks, so be sure to take a look at that. The hunts themselves are good fun. In Ramsgate – the main hub – where players gather to craft and group, you can get new weapons and tier them, before heading out on a hunt. The group hunts are incredibly fun, as the four … [Read more...] about Monster Hunter: World vs Dauntless – Which Is Better?
Capcom posts its best financial year ever thanks to Monster Hunter World
It must have been some time ago at Capcom’s business strategy meeting where the top executives were sitting around and talking in hushed tones about what the company’s development strategy would be. Of course, the whiteboard already had the obvious suggestions on it: a massively unpopular Street Fighter sequel that launched without features, a half-hearted Marvel vs. Capcom installment, pretending Mega Man didn’t exist, etc. And then one lone executive spoke up, saying, “What if we developed a game everyone wanted to play and then released it internationally, so American and Japanese players could both enjoy it? Except he said it in Japanese, of course. Thus began the story of Monster Hunter World, which ends with Capcom experiencing its best financial year… ever. At any point in history. More than that, MHW also managed to outsell every other game in the company’s history at 7.9 million copies sold worldwide. Understandably, next year will see a … [Read more...] about Capcom posts its best financial year ever thanks to Monster Hunter World
