Blade and Soul's mobile adaptation Blade & Soul: Revolution will be launching in South Korea on December 6th, 2018. The game aims to stay true to its PC game as much as possible. It'll be launching with 4 playable races (Jin, Gon, Yun, and Lyn) and four classes (Blader Master, Kung Fu Master, Destroyer, and Machinist). Like the PC version, the mobile game will feature quite a few cutscenes - over 150 in fact to immerse players in the game's story. No word on whether Blade & Soul: Revolution will be launching in English, but if it does well in South Korea, I suspect NCSoft will bring it to the West. Blade and Soul is pretty much a household name at this point. It’s not super popular – not in the same AAA vein as World of Warcraft or Guild Wars 2. But it has been a corner stone or reference point for pretty much every Asian MMO that has come out since. Many of them have been inspired by NCSOFT’s 2012 MMORPG, and it is still going on as a free to play title. Is Blade and Soul worth checking out in 2018 though? Change of Plans This morning I was all ready and prepared to go on an angry tear about the change to specs in World of Warcraft on Legion Alpha. Then I thought to myself… my blog has already hosted more than enough “I’m Angry at WoW” posts that I really did not need to add another one to the pile. I still think the idea is quite possibly the dumbest I have seen yet, but I figure if it does go in… I can either deal with it, or stop playing again and no amount of gnashing of my teeth is going to make a change. I have next to zero clout when it comes to things like that, so better just to ignore it for the moment and try not to get worked up over it. In the meantime however I finally was able to pop into Blade and Soul and give the game a proper try. I talked yesterday about some of my misgivings…. of which there were many, so the game started off on negative footing before I even entered. Last night my friend Liore … [Read more...] about Blade and Soul Impressions
