Bungie’s latest weekly update for Destiny is out, and it targets bugs and bad players. For starters, the Destiny team is looking at the least completed raids and easing their difficulty so that more players are willing to see them through from start to finish. The team plays through raids on a weekly basis to see how players are responding to content, as well as looking at in-game metrics to see where problems are arising. There are also bugs that need to be squashed, since the raids are hard enough without the game getting in the way. Next up, the company plans on dealing with idlers, players who go into strikes and pvp matches and do not contribute. One player not contributing in an activity might seem like a small thing, but it can make a Weekly Heroic Strike unbeatable or make a Crucible match unwinnable. Those little bits of damage to the experiences other players adds up over time. The most toxic players will be restricted from matchmaking, starting out as temporary … [Read more...] about Bungie Says Goodbye To Toxic Destiny Players

While E3 official starts today and runs until June 14, all of the major studios have already held their press conferences. There were few surprises, no new consoles were announced afterall. But we did get a few controversial morsels. Perhaps the most contentious announcement was that the previous announced Fallout 76 would be online-only and contain no singleplayer mode or living NPCs. Bethesda took pains to avoid the term 'MMO' for their latest entry in the Fallout series, instead going with the latest industry code word 'shared-world' to describe Fallout 76. The multiplayer aspect will mark a stark departure from other games in the series, with comparisons being made to games like Rust and DayZ. While many were disappointing in the direction of Fallout 76, its likely that this game will be a complement to the series and not a replacement of the traditional singleplayer numeric releases. Another moment of outrage came at the EA conference when the mobile title Command & Conquer: … [Read more...] about The Weekly Raid: What Are Your Thoughts On E3 2018?

Destiny 2 servers on July 31st. “Solstice of Heroes begins on Tuesday, July 31. This event is held in the Tower, and allows the inhabitants of the City to celebrate and thank Guardians for bravely defending them. During this time of celebration, Guardians will once again don the now-broken ceremonial armor from the day the City was lost to the Red Legion. They do this for many reasons: to remind themselves of what it's like to not be invincible; to challenge themselves and thus inspire the City even more; and to eventually reforge that broken gear into something stronger... just as humanity has been broken and reforged over and over again for hundreds of years.” During the event, players can visit Ikora Rey to gain access to a special event armor set. Players start off with a “Scorched” set which they can upgrade by completing a series of objectives including Redux Missions. Scorched sets can be upgraded to a Shattered set, which can then be upgraded to a … [Read more...] about Destiny 2 Will Launch The Solstice Of Heroes Event On July 31st
