The conditions for consent have been strengthened, and companies will no longer be able to use long illegible terms and conditions full of legalese, as the request for consent must be given in an intelligible and easily accessible form, with the purpose for data processing attached to that consent. Consent must be clear and distinguishable from other matters and provided in an intelligible and easily accessible form, using clear and plain language. It must be as easy to withdraw consent as it is to give it. … [Read more...] about The Weekly Raid: Do You Support The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Whatever your opinion on the Sylvanas matter, the discussion it has stirred shows that many players are still invested heavily in the lore. That brings us to this weeks discussion. I tried for years to juggle the whole raiding and guild leadership thing, and probably did a poor job at it. The raiders were the most dedicated players, but I wanted to keep the guild as a sort of casual friendly place for everyone. Elnore, Rylacus and Kylana all made shifts to support the raiders above the random casual players, which rubbed me personally the wrong way… but ultimately were probably good for the long term health of the guild. I mean for a guild founded on day one it is pretty magical that it is still alive 15 years later. … [Read more...] about World of Warcraft: Then and Now
