MOP reader Avaera recently sent in a question that I thought would be fun to address here in my poor neglected Ask Mo column. But then he wondered why we don’t do more than we already do. “Is this because there is shaky ethical ground around the quid-pro-quo for dev access, or the perceived danger of self-promotion? Is it something that is very difficult to do via online means only? Is there any chance this kind of thing could be more of a regular column?” No chance. There’s nothing “regular” about interviews. As we do every year, today we’re going to peek back at the horrifying outcomes of last year’s MOP staff predictions for the genre and the games within it to determine how well we did. Bree: “World of Warcraft’s expansion will do much better than Legion. We won’t see Classic in 2018, however … [Read more...] about Ask Mo: The hits and misses of Massively OP’s 2018 predictions

It’s time! The Mo Mania stream-athon is happening now, so come and hang out with us for fun and prizes galore! We’ve laid out the general rules as to how it all will go down (so be sure to check the FAQ!), but there are some specifics we still need to spell out involving how long we will stream and how often we will be doing these giveaways. The longer we stream, the more giveaways there will be! Stream length beyond the initial 90 minutes depends on the number of subs. Increments of time will be added for time for each sub goal reached; stretch goals will uncover as each previous goal is attained (later stretch goals add longer times!). For example, with five subs, we’ll add 30 minutes! 5 subs: +30 minutes fstretch goal On the giveaway side, we will have a guaranteed giveaway every 30 minutes of stream time, with additional giveaways for meeting donation goals! There might also be a bonus giveaway or two thrown in for good measure. up to $100: extra giveaway … [Read more...] about The Stream Team: Join us for our Mo Mania stream-athon!
