The guardians have spoken I suppose and told us that they don’t care about cool weapons nor do they care about the best looking gear… and instead they care about… honestly I am not sure what? Back in Destiny 1 folks went dead orbit because they had the coolest looking emblems, including one with a skull and crossed axes. Additionally the logo for dead orbit itself is a weird simplified skull. I guess this makes them the edgelord faction in spite of actually having a faction called Future War Cult. The problem with FWC however is that their gear generally looks like a bowl of fruity pebbles, but at least in my case it has sort of begrudgingly grown on me over time. I too was one of the Dead Orbit legion during Destiny 1 for a very long time, largely because I thought they had the coolest weapons… Year 2 Hung Jury was fucking amazing. However in Year 3… FWC pulled ahead of them and had a ton … [Read more...] about Dead Orbit Won?
Crackception That’s right… you are seeing the above image correctly. That is two in game npcs in World of Warcraft playing Hearthstone. The game that has caused such an upwelling of nostalgia… is being played in the game I am nostalgic about. I feel as though they are missing an amazing opportunity here however. If you could ACTUALLY play hearthstone inside of World of Warcraft, the same way you can play Legends of Norrath inside of Everquest 2… it would quickly become the ultimate piddling around waiting on someone experience. I can remember how amazingly popular the bejeweled and peggle became as pre-raid activities and those were just addons. It would be amazing if they wove hearthstone into every aspect of the game. Peggle loot was a thing that existed, and while it took forever it was an extremely fun way to settle loot disputes. Would be equally cool if you could do something like that with hearthstone. … [Read more...] about Nostalgia Won
EA fought the law and the law won, at least that’s the lesson the company learned this week after going head to head with Belgian authorities regarding loot box sales for FIFA games. Those of you keeping score will recall that last April, the Belgian government criminalized certain loot box systems in video games, and sent notices to Valve, Activision Blizzard, and Electronic Arts warning that several of their titles were found to be in violation of the law. The Gaming Commission warned that the loot boxes would need to be removed, otherwise the companies could face fines and even jail sentences. Valve and Activision Blizzard took near-immediate steps to disable loot box accessibility to Belgian players, while a number of other developers have opted to either alter their titles or outright shut them down within the country. EA meanwhile decided to take a gamble of its own and face a criminal investigation in order to keep selling those sweet ultimate team bucks. Unfortunately for … [Read more...] about [NM] EA Fought the Law and the Law Won, Removing Loot Boxes
Re: How to play and server status: LIVE! I won a key via the drawing, and am very grateful to be able to play today! Wanted to let someone know that when I got in, the welcome msg was to A1-T1, and the 'read more' link opened the A1-T1 infopage in my browser. I'm writing this on my Linux laptop while my Windows PC connects to the server, just in case I was given a bad code somehow? I'm not a programmer - this may be impossible and everyone might be seeing and ignoring the same issue (old welcome) but bc my key was won, not bought, I wanted to make sure. Gonna go play now if the server is connected. Thanks again! … [Read more...] about Won A1-T2 key, got T1 welcome screen…
