Hyperspace Beacon: We have the Star Wars The Old Republic story all wrong

· November 29, 2018 · Leave a Comment

I have been buried in Star Wars: The Old Republic lore for about 8 years now, and it pains me to admit this, but I think I was wrong about the motivation of the primary antagonist. I blame part of that on myself because I didn’t put the pieces of the puzzle together, but at the same time, part of the blame falls to BioWare because the storytellers didn’t see it as a compelling story or spread the pieces out over time in favor of telling stories that were faster and more compelling. From my perspective, we were distracted by the points of views of other characters. Revan and Marr both had a very strong opinion of Vitiate. Senya had an interesting perspective since she was married and had children with the man. Scourge and the Hand had their own perspective, too, but it wasn’t until I watched a video by DuduFilm did it all come together for me. Although Vitiate has a long backstory that builds him as a powerful being wanted to gain power at any cost, he actually suffers … [Read more...] about Hyperspace Beacon: We have the Star Wars The Old Republic story all wrong

Top 10 Movies that Inspire an Aspiring Entrepreneur

· September 24, 2014 · Leave a Comment

Are you an Entrepreneur and do you want to be inspired? Let us take a look at some popular inspirational movies that help to inspire our entrepreneurial ventures. I just finished watching this movie, and first thing I’m doing is updating this post. Nightcrawler is one such movie, which every entrepreneur with great vision should watch it. This movie is little brutal, but acting by Jake Gyllenhaal will keep you surprised. This movie is about a struggling guy who was looking for a job, but he couldn’t get one. The guy found a window of job opportunity when he saw a live crime journalism, and he started doing the same for the living. What you will learn from the movie is, how one can do anything without much background, how art of persuasion and negotiation can take you to the place. How focusing on your positives, and improving on them will make you limitless. Go watch this movie all by yourself, and come back to share your thoughts. But remember, I will never ask you to … [Read more...] about Top 10 Movies that Inspire an Aspiring Entrepreneur

STO: Into The Coliseum

· February 28, 2011 · Leave a Comment

Out of my way, fool. Star Trek fans, be sure to have an extra pair of underwear close at hand because the latest Star Trek Online feature episode is nothing short of nerdgasm-inducing. And fans of the Original Series, you might want to have two pairs handy. Time to take a break from all the Rift posts with my review of “Coliseum.” And what can I say? Wow. Just, wow. I have a lot to talk about, but the hard part is figuring out how to do it without coming across like a raving fangirl. Fact is, it is not in my nature to squee and fawn unless something is very, very good and extremely well done — which I think applies to this particular FE. I’m going to echo what Tipa has already stated in her write-up — this episode is truly epic. Note: Spoilers in the text and screenshots. Surprise, surprise — this latest mission does not start at Admiral T’Nae. Instead, it is Obisek’s scarred visage that pops up on your screen, asking for help, no less. … [Read more...] about STO: Into The Coliseum

Warriors and Bounty Hunters

· October 7, 2015 · Leave a Comment

A Day Off Last week as you might be able to tell from the posts I made during it… was extremely stressful.  As a result I ended up taking off yesterday as a sort of “mental health day”.  It was absolutely glorious, because essentially I sat around playing video games and watching Netflix.  I won’t talk about the Netflix viewing because I will save that for Saturday, but I will talk about the games I played.  More than anything yesterday was a day devoted to Star Wars the Old Republic.  I have this mad mission to somehow finish the rest of the class storyline that I have not completed before the launch of Fallen Empire at the end of this month.  I know that seems a bit mad, but I am enjoying myself especially since we are in this length lag period in Final Fantasy XIV content.  Over the weekend I finished up Smuggler, and yesterday I completed Sith Warrior.  At this point I have completed Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular, … [Read more...] about Warriors and Bounty Hunters

SWTOR Beta Test: The Obligatory General Impressions Mega-Post

· November 18, 2011 · Leave a Comment

The time has finally come — you know, where I start assaulting you all, my poor readers, with my impressions of Star Wars: The Old Republic from general testing over the last five months, now that the NDA for testing has been lifted. I do have plans to expand upon much of the following in future posts (as if only one gargantuan wall-of-text won’t be enough, right?) But there are quite a few thoughts I do want to toss up on here first. I took a bunch of notes throughout my testing experience, which are a mess right now and which I should really try to consolidate into something coherent. While I love the game and had a lot of fun testing, much of this ended up being the basis for the “constructive criticism” I offered up during feedback, so hopefully this impression piece will come across fair and balanced. I aim to be completely honest. Overall Thoughts You’ll probably hear this a lot, but it’s true — the first thing that came to my mind when I … [Read more...] about SWTOR Beta Test: The Obligatory General Impressions Mega-Post
