Defiance 2050 Closed Beta Test Underway in April Trion Worlds is excited to formally reveal the dates for the upcoming closed beta test for Defiance 2050, its open-world sci-fi shooter launching this summer on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The test will run in April across all three platforms. The PlayStation 4 beta test will only be available in North America for this event. The Defiance 2050 closed beta test will run the weekend of April 20 – 22. In the beta, players will be able to play through the Defiance 2050 experience up to level 25, as well as explore the areas of Mount Tam and Madera. Ready to raid Smilegate’s Lost Ark? You’ll still have to be this Korean to ride the ride, but if you’re able and willing to handle the translation, you could find yourself checking out this action MMO this spring. This is thanks to the fact that Lost Ark is preparing to accept applications for its final closed beta test in Korea. Once April 19th hits, interested parties can apply on the website for the Korean CBT. This build will include two additional classes, the Hawkeye and the Soul Master, as well as several new dungeons and a card battling minigame. As one of our 20 MMOs to watch in 2018, Lost Ark has generated a lot of excitement over its visuals and fast gameplay. With a multi-platform launch coming sometime this summer, Defiance 2050 has a lot resting on its new free-to-play format and additional refinements. To help prepare the game for its second shot at glory, the team has been running beta weekends, the second of which sounds like it went quite well. “Beta went great, lots of feedback, found a lot of bugs,” Trion Worlds said in a recent livestream. “We are still going through feedback, pages and pages of it.” There was a lot of discussion concerning classes in the livestream which makes them sound a lot more interesting than what the original Defiance had. The team also dropped some concept art of a few of the classes. Defiance 2050 will give out four classes to all free players, with additional specialized classes such as the Crusader being offered in the game’s store. Play LOTRO for freeIt’s finally here. For a while now, Standing Stone Games has promised that it would be giving most of Lord of the Rings Online’s classes a major balance pass. Today, the studio announced that it has started testing the first batch of these with Update 22.2. And everyone is in a panic. The class changes, which are extensive and address six of the current professions, have the community scrambling to figure out how current builds and rotations will change come 22.2. Many talent lines are being adjusted or outright revamped, and numerous skills have seen alternating buffs and nerfs depending on the developers’ vision for the class in question. For those who wade past the class changes, there are a few festival improvements awaiting in the patch notes.
